Before the Oscars rushed in, Hollywood celebrated at the Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday night. Angelina's baby bump was the talk of the town, but Cate Blanchett was the only mommy-to-be to take home a trophy. Ellen Page also scored one of the three awards that went to Juno, and you can check out the full list of winners here.

Hey, this awards ceremony looks almost as fun as the Brits! It's good to see that Rainn Wilson didn't put a serious host-face on for the Independent Spirit Awards ceremony, as you can see from these pics... Allison Janney also brought the funny, arriving on stage with dollars hanging out of her cleavage, and Javier Bardem shared a passionate embrace onstage with Julian Schnabel. 
While the weekend's big event is just hours away, last night's Independent Spirit Awards brought out some big names and one very talked-about baby bump. You know, ICYMI, Angelina Jolie showed off that she is indeed pregnant on the arm of Brad Pitt/Robert Redford (just saying). Sienna looked very happy to be up for best leading actress, but lost to Ellen Page whose Juno also won best feature film. 
A whole host of gorgeous and quirky types were out for the Independent Spirit Awards in California yesterday. At the reception for nominees a selection of the attendees had a sneak preview of Rainn Wilson's hosting skills, but this was the real deal. Brad showed up with a blooming Angelina, Ellen Page and Javier Bardem wore very similar outfits (and managed to look equally cute - who wore it better?) and all the stars and makers of this year's Indie favourites were out in force from Diablo Cody and Sienna Miller to Philip Seymour Hoffman and Julian Schnabel. 
I couldn't pass this one up. Ellen Page and Javier Bardem both showed up to the Independent Spirit Awards in black suits, untucked white button-downs, and skinny black ties. The only difference was in the shoes — Javier went with trainers, while Ellen rocked ballet flats. 
Fashion chameleon Cate went for a billowy Vera Wang navy and cranberry cocktail dress, accented with shiny silver accessories. I love the shoes . . 
I'm all about channeling your independent spirit when it comes to fashion, but I'm not sure about Kerry's Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall chartreuse look. The skirt is pretty cool, but something went awry here. Thoughts?
At Saturday's Independent Spirit Awards, host Rainn Wilson joked that with his background as a TV star, he couldn't possibly understand the intense, edgy world of indie film. The solution: Hook him up with indie mentor Dennis Hopper, who schooled him in the ways of knuckle tattoos, drug smuggling, and getting pummeled on the street. Between all those sucker punches and kicks to the head, our little Rainn may never be the same. 
We know you can't wait for the Oscars. We can't either, but in the meantime, there are the Independent Spirit Awards to give you some pre-Oscars eye candy. Kate Beckinsale is a vision in her ivory drop-waist dress .
