The lush green background made the dresses stand out at last night's CDFA/Vogue Fashion Fund event in NYC, where
Alexander Wang took home the prize;
check out all the other winners here. Anna Wintour, who
may be considering retirement, hosted some of Manhattan's pretty young things at the soiree. Blake Lively and Penn Badgley traveled as a duo as usual, though they never pose together.

You can always rely on models to try something different. Such was the case with Coco last night at
the CFDA awards. Her black bohemian gown stands apart from the rest — Gucci Resort, mind you — and her golden head scarf is a unique touch.

Juliette showed up Studio 54 style at
the CFDA Awards. She gave her support to designer Phillip Lim wearing his Fab sequin jumpsuit, fringed sandals and a chic blazer. I think she rocked it, what about you?

Blake Lively showed up to
last night's CFDA fashion fete in a Vena Cava maxi dress that is revealing on top and demure on the bottom. She completed the look with black leather boots but kept her jewelry to a minimum — she could have used a statement necklace. Do you love it or hate it?

Not that I expect any less from Charlize Theron, but the actress turned up to the
2008 CFDA Awards in a flawless Christian Dior Couture sequined
LBD. She decked her neck in diamonds and dressed her feet with gold studded sandals. What's your verdict?

After much anticipation
Alexander Wang was named the winner of the
2008 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund.
For his grand prize, Wang received $200,000 and a year’s worth of mentoring from some of best designers in the industry. Albertus Q.

Last night, the Council of Fashion Designers of America and Vogue, held their fifth annual Fashion Fund extravaganza in New York City. The big winner was
Alexander Wang who won $200,000 along with a year of mentoring. The runner-ups were Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai (Vena Cava) and Albertus Q.
Look of the Day
At the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York, Eva Mendes looked fresh in a pristine Calvin Klein Collection dress and Van Cleef and Arpels gems. The actress presented an award to her designer date, Calvin Klein's Francisco Costa.

This one's a toughie considering both Lake Bell and Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman wore Marchesa's red rosette dress the same exact way. Their red satin shoes and
pulled-back hair are the same, but Lake opted for a red snakesin clutch at the
What Happens in Vegas UK premiere, while Georgina went with a glittery silver one at the
2008 CFDA Awards. Although Georgina designed the dress, I think Lake has more natural ability to pull off such a funky shoulder detail.

Lookie who decided to come out of their bottles and to
the CFDA Awards! Vogue Editor at Large André Leon Talley and supermodel Naomi Campbell obviously consulted one another on their wardrobes and the unanimous decision was to channel a genie,
harem pants and all! Check out André's velvet fuchsia slippers.
