well if it's foretelling of the future at all, i hope that he gets the oscar nod as well. he was great in the role and i hope that the movie brings in a lot of awards.

Yes I agree he always looks grumpy and many fan encounters in London and the U.S. are not so complimentary about him. Even on his movie with Depp fans and the crew prefer Depp over him and that movie he did 3:10 to Yuma fans and the cast and crew prefer Crowe over Bale.
He will age fast when he never smiles and his grumpy attitude matches his boring always serious always intense always brooding acting. That's not a great or versatile acting.
Versatile acting is epitomized by Depp,Robert Downey Jr,Hopkins etc...

Christian doesn't do interviews much. He's a private person, so he just isn't the guy most likely to have a lively moment with random fans that accost him. Don't dislike him because of that. I know if I were a celeb I'd be the surliest one ever.

I like keeping to myself. I don't think that changes just because you make million-dollar grossing.

Plus he had bad experiences when he did Empire of the Sun and he was just a kid then, so it makes sense that he hates all of that fanfare. I'm always grateful he didn't give up on acting altogether.
