Bar's a very beautiful woman,I guess the most beautiful girlfriend Leo had so far. But that doesn't buy her anyhting in terms of true relationships, sincerity or trust. I admit, she lost a lot of my respect for her when she just WASN'T THERE when Leo's grandmother, one of the most important people in his life, died. This just didn't feel right, and I think, it wasn't.

I have Israeli friends and relatives who live there, so have been familiar with Bar much longer than most here (since before she was with Leo) and she is not at all nice - her bad reputation in Israel is well-deserved. It's unfortunate, but true. I could post links to interviews that would make you ill, you couldn't believe she said the nasty stuff she does!

I agree with Martini. Bar has made some very mean and rude comments in her interviews...She comes across as someone who is cold and selfish at heart. Sorry Natalia, but someone who is "so down to earth" and "sweet" would not act the way she does.

Sometimes famous people say stupid things in interviews,no only Bar Refaeli.A lot of people say things without thinking from time to time . I've personally never considered Bar to be perfect so I don't mind when she maybe says things that are out of place... it makes her human to me(and this is just my opinion, so don't shoot me),it doesn’t mean she’s a bad person.

About her fake marriage: I support her decision about objecting to go into service.
I sure am happy I didn't grow up in a country where war, fear and violence were part of my daily life. Some of the greatest celebrities of Israel never served in the forces,several womens in Israel marry to avoid mandatory military service,so Bar is not alone.Bar is certainly not the only person from her country who thinks like her and managed to skip the mandatory military service. there are probably many people - like Bar - who have skipped mandatory military service, or fled the country for somewhere that they see as a better place. And I don't think she did a bad thing.Some people just feel strongly about fight wars, any war for that matter and don't feel it is the answer to settling differences but only the cause of more differences. Respect that and don't think it means they are unpatriotic but only that they don't believe in war.And just because one disagrees with or speaks out against one of the laws of their country, that doesn't mean they don't
"embrace their heritage with gratitude" or they're not "proud of who they are".

They don't look cute together they look dead. Leo looks happier hanging with his male friends and she looks happier when a microphone is in front of her face.

Natalia, to me, Bar is the complete opposite of what you're describing. She openly uses Leo for fame and constantly uses his contacts to advance her career. Bar is a very arrogant, selfish child, IMO.

Natalia, you are right, there are people in Israel who get married only to avoid military service - that doesn't mean that it is ok to do it! Many celebrities didn't serve in the military the way most Israelis do, that is true - many of them requested, and were granted, the opportunity to perform "alternate service" - things like performing for troops or visiting wounded troops and public services. Bar could have requested that, but no, she chose to lie - to me it is an issue of character. I don't think that someone like that should be held up as an "example" or lauded for anything.

I would agree with you about the "stupid comments in interviews", if only she didn't continue to say these same types of things over and over - once, ok, maybe she had a bad day, or said it the wrong way, but repeatedly? No way, she really just doesn't care about anyone but herself, I think.

I couldn't care less who she is dating, I sincerely don't like her and what she has put forth as her character. (BTW, I feel the same way about other celebs who skirted performing any national service for Israel, as is required by law, not just Bar!) You are free to like her, that is your opinion, but don't think you are going to tell me what is "patriotic" for an Israeli or that her decision to evade serving is something to "respect" - especially when my Israeli family and friends have fought (and died!) for that nation!
