Will Echo Films be specializing in bland romantic comedies or mediocre dramas?

I used to think Dane was cute (though I haven't thought him funny since the Harmful If Swallowed days), but seeing his face close-up in Good Luck Chuck changed my mind about that. He is fit, though.

I am always left wondering after watching Dane Cook how what he does is called stand up comedy? He's not funny, witty or remotely snide or clever. He ucks, give me chappelle, chris rock, jeff dunham and katt wiliams any day.

    * Jennifer Aniston - This could be good, this could be bad. I'll have to wait and see
    * A woman was arrested in John Cusack's neighborhood - I like this guy, but he's been out of the mainstream for so long where did this woman come from?
    * Woody Allen - Creepy from the word go and his movies SUCK. I don't know why stars scramble to be in them, I've watched a couple and they're awful!
    * Adam Sandler - Hope he heals soon.
    * A Boston radio station has named Dane Cook the "Unfunniest Man Alive" - Dane is one of those guys that you either love him, or you hate him, there's no in between with him. I love his standup and his movies are entertaining. I'm on the "GO DANE" side.

Woody Allen should LOVE American Apparel...just enough "kiddy-style" porn for an old perve like him to NOT have a heart-attack. As for his movies, I loved Scoop and Matchpoint...as well as Annie Hall...ok forget it, I do love Woody Allen movies...that old perve!!!

Congratulations Jen. I know you will work very hard to bring enjoyable movies. You are truly one of the classiest actesses. You showed grace during the who Branjalina fiasco as they played there games and made themselves look bad. I wish you and Vince were still together, but at least you two are friends and show a lot of respect for each other. You are a doll and deserve the best.

    @ Jude C's first comment.

By the way, the woman Jennifer Aniston is setting up the company with is the same one Brad fired from the far superior Plan B Productions.

Not true. Kristen left with Jen, but she held Plan B to some projects already contracted and is a producer on Time Traveler's Wife.

Best of luck to Jennifer A. She's a lovely woman with a good head on her shoulders, and is just plain nice on top of it (I know first hand). And yes, Kristen Hahn was fired from Plan B, while she was pregnant, for sticking up for Jennifer Aniston - who was a longtime friend.

Tia - The word "Hit" is relative to the person using it. For instance, to ME the movie crossroads was a "hit" for spears because I liked it. However I know to most it was just an awful film. Of course, I also liked all the Bring it On movies, so I'm easily pleased.

And funny enough, I just went to dictionary.com to look up the ACTUAL definition of "hit" as it relates to movies and all I got were for the action.

in Hollywood a movie is a hit ONLY if it makes a profit, which is a lot of money considering how much movies cost these days to make (not indies). Box Office is KING!!!!

Do you mean the film, "The Departed" for which Brad Pitt was 100% responsible in buying the source material, at personal great risk? He approached the Hong Kong producers of "Infernal Affairs" in order to secure the rights and pledged Plan B's whole acquisition budget, at that time. He hoped to do it himself but gave it up in order to work with Alejandro González Iñárritu. That would be the Brad Pitt that fought for Matt Damon to replace him, hired Graham King to produce the film when he got the role in "Babel" and was gracious enough not to insist Hahn be taken off the credits?

Hahn violated her NDA with her employer by speaking to Vanity Fair, for attribution. That is a huge No-No in this town. I guess she thought Jennifer Aniston's permission was all she needed. I wonder if that is why no one has wanted to hire her in the last 2 and 1/2 years.

wow - that sucks about adam sandler. i wonder how that's going to affect production on his movie since they are on the middle of filming

i wonder what projects jennifer is going to take on with her company. didn't she and Brand have Plan B or somethign like that which was making a few films here and there?

i kind of like dane cook (in stand up from his HBO special) - i can't believe that ppl think that he's the 'unfunniest'

What "great personal risk" did Brad take buying the source material for The Departed? He would have lost a couple of milliion? That's nothing. He spends money like water.

Just because you don't believe Brad, FIREITUP doesn't mean the rest of the world shares your point of view. Would you continue to employ someone who talked **** about you for publication?
