He's won Oscars and ridden to the top of the box-office charts – so Clint Eastwood knows his movies. And his stars.

Of Angelina Jolie – the leading lady in his latest directorial effort, the period drama Changeling – Eastwood, 78, says: "I've always admired her talent. She's somewhat hampered sometimes by having this gorgeous face, the most gorgeous face on the planet. She's on covers and all that stuff.

"But," Eastwood told veteran movie journalist Lillian Ross at a Saturday Q&A sponsored by the New Yorker magazine at the Directors Guild of America, "she is a great talent, and it would be easy to overlook that, except after seeing this you realize that she is this great, talented person."

"This" is Changeling, set in '20s Los Angeles and the true story of a mother whose son is returned after a kidnapping – only the boy is not hers. Eastwood describes it as "a very tough story, it's sort of an adult horror story. It's what this woman had been put through by the Establishment."

When it comes to working with Jolie, "She's very prepared. She comes in with a lot of preparation. She's ready to go right away," he says.

Politics and Palin
On the topic of being prepared, the conversation turned to GOP vice--presidential candidate Sarah Palin. Eastwood, from 1986 to 1988 the mayor of Carmel, Calif. – said, "She seems to be a what-you-see-is-what-you-get kind of thing. [Candidates] all have a b.s. factor, because that's the nature of politics."

As for possibly being upset John McCain did not select him to be No. 2 on the ticket, Eastwood replied, "I was at a function, and a bunch of political types were there. And John McCain was there. He came up to say hello, I said, 'Look, don't even ask it. I will not be your vice president. I have to be on the top of the ticket.' "

The turn-off, he admits, is that "most of the time – Al Gore, going back – you saw the vice president very little. That would be the least appealing job, I think."

Entertainment Tonight reports the W mag will be out in two weeks and one of the pictures will be of Angelina breastfeeding one of her twins Knox or Vivienne.

they certainly love their Lees - everytime they are in town they go there. anyway, i think that angie looks like she's back in shape already - so that's a nice thing, and i really do hope that they wait a little bit before having more kids. honestly - they need to get things sorted in their home and let the kids grow up before adding more to the jolie-pitt brood don't you think?

Oh my god, she looks so good it makes me want to be sick with fear and envy. I am very pregnant right now, and the thought of losing the amount of weight she gained with twins in just over two months is terrifying! She is stunning.

the girl is wearing spanx. you can see the line in some of the pics. so, she's still got that baby weight on her and i think she looks a lot better with weight on her. she should keep it but knowing her, she will be back to being super thin in no time.

She can certainly be compare to all those sirens. Their life were also tumultuous and controversial. She is in their path personality wise and beauty wise and is an icon in the making, just like they were. She is the contemporary version of those great ladies.

Everytime I see Zahara her hair is never done. I wonder if they are ever going to learn how to do it for her...

I think that every decade has his it girl with the definition of the ultimate beauty of the momenet.

In the 70', it was Jerry Hall and Farrah Fawcett (some years ago, i recall watching old interviews of Farrah on the french TV, and she was saying very arrogantly that she considered herself more beautiful than Marilyn Monroe, being the most phorographed face in the world and selling millions of posters of her in bikinis). In the 80's it was Brooke Schields (every little girls, every models wanted to look like her !) and Cindy Crawford. In the 90's, it was Julia Roberts (whose perceived beauty has always puzzled me personally). in this decade it is Angelina Jolie.

I don't think there is an ultimate sole beauty type. I just think that they are actresses or public personalities who have a certain amount of beauty perceived by the majority as such and that those actresses have their beauty matched with a great amount of charisma and presence which makes them stand from the bunch.

Jaclyn Smith was more beautiful than Frarrah...Farrah had the biggest charisma. Since the 90's, i found that the chosen beauty is graced with a certain 'uniqueness' in the features department and less standardly classy beauty like it was the case in the 70's or 80's.

She looks good...but for currently pregant women who feel they have to look like her or lose it as quickly as her, please don't forget she is probably born with a higher metabolism and on hte skinny side like most stars..and has a team of nutrionist and trainers dedciate to her body and has time to work out 3 hours a day or how ever many she needs and hte money to have Brad look after the kids or have a nanny look after them while she works out. NOT realistic for normal people. So please don't bash yourself or feel bad for not loosing all your weight normally.

Other than that...she is gorgeous. I love how she and Megan Fox wore simliar dresses (MF wore it to the premiere of Eagle Eye I think) and Angelina looks a lot classier and much more beautiful even after 3 kids@

As far as Zahara, Maddox and Pax's hair is concern, these children look very happy and healthy and that we can actually see, is really none of our business. This family is just fine.

People age, it happens. Brad Pitt still looks good, but he can't stay forever young no more than anyone else. Angelina looks great. I wish she would keep weight on, but I honestly think she just has one of those super fast metabolisms (like my ex), you never hear about her post pregnancy diet or workout program. I don't think she has one.
