After a year of mostly virtual runways, New York Fashion Week returned to the streets of Manhattan, and we all eagerly waited to spot our favorite celebrities and see what our go-to brands have been cooking up behind the scenes. It felt particularly emotional to watch a show in person, still in disbelief that this is a thing again while basking in the glitz and glam of it all. From established artists like Michael Kors to runway debutants like Peter Do, designers helped us reimagine dressing up for today's times.

We saw cool plays on knitwear with Victor Glemaud, colorful sequins with Tom Ford, slinky crochet pieces with Jonathan Simkhai, and sharp tailoring with Peter Do, among other statement-making looks. We also saw a reemergence of activism through fashion with designers like Chromat and Prabal Gurung weaving powerful messaging into their clothes.

It's an exciting time to be dressing up again, and as we wait for these runway looks to become available, we're pairing a few of our favorite celebrities with looks we could totally see them wear. Read on to see how we did.

From her standout date-night ensembles to her casual-glam city looks, Lori Harvey never shies away from making a statement. The model sat front row at the the Michael Kors spring 2022 show, which she attended in a scoop-neck cutout top tucked into a high-rise, structured pencil skirt.

We wouldn't be surprised to see Lori wearing this on one of her nights out with Michael B. Jordan. With the skin reveal and the tube-top silhouette, it is sultry and extremely elegant, not unlike many of the model's date-night outfits.

From the eye-catching Gucci set she wore to this year's SAG Awards to the stunning Vivienne Westwood purple corset dress seen at the 2021 Independent Spirit Awards, Elle Fanning knows how to dress in a showstopping way.

Elle Fanning has already worn Rodarte on occasions (just remember the hot-pink lace dress she wore to the 2019 LA Teen Spirit premiere), and one look at her Instagram tells us she has a penchant for florals and brightly colored, dramatic ensembles. She would totally turn heads in this blossoming Rodarte cutout midi dress.

Zoë Kravitz always brings the drama to her red carpet dressing (don't let her casual everyday looks fool you). No matter what she wears, the actress always looks equal parts sexy and cool.

If the chain-mail dress she wore to the Met Gala is any indication, Zoë likes to stand out in glittering looks with a body-sculpting effect. This breathtaking Markarian two-piece set falls in this category, which is why we're dreaming of the day we spot the actress wearing it.

Dan Levy sat front row at the Thom Browne show during NYFW in a navy embellished vest and crisp white skort. As a close friend of Thom Browne, the actor often goes for the designer's sharp suits for his glamorous events.

At this point, we're just waiting to see which Thom Browne look Dan is planning to wear next, and we'd be here for the photos of him in this sleeveless suit set from the spring 2022 runway. Based on the actor's well-documented history of wearing the brand's designs, we know he has a soft spot for clean lines, fluid dressing, and sharp tailoring.

One thing's for sure, Chloe Bailey's outfit choices always push the envelope. From this see-through Valentino gown to the ruffled denim two-piece she casually shared on Instagram, her looks tend to reveal a fair amount of skin, and we're not mad about it.

Tell us you can't picture Chloe Bailey in this olive-green Bronx and Banco two-piece set? With its midriff-baring top and revealing cutouts on each piece, it's bold, sexy, and fashion-forward.

We always brace for Zendaya's head-turning look at whatever fancy event she attends. This wet-looking Balmain leather gown stole the show at the Venice Film Festival, and we weren't expecting anything less from the actress.

One thing is clear, Zendaya doesn't shy away from baring skin, and it would be really fun to see her in this stunning minidress from Laquan Smith. She has already graced the cover of Vogue in a blue velvet lace-up bodysuit and skirt from the designer, so another look from him is totally possible.

Barbie Ferreira's everyday looks may edge on the laid-back side, but her event looks are downright dreamy (looking at you, Met Gala pearl dress!).

We could totally see the actress going about town in this colorful, casual-cool Coach dress. It's preppy, easygoing, and eye-catching, just like Barbie's screen style.
