So, Alex Borstein Rewore Her Wedding Dress to the Emmys, and I Love Her Even More Now

Y'all, I've loved Alex Borstein since her days of calling Gordo a "sneaky little brown noser" while playing Miss Ungermeyer in The Lizzie McGuire Movie, but her outfit choice at the Emmys this year made my love for her grow tenfold. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star, who took home the award for outstanding supporting actress, wore quite the significant dress for the big night: her old wedding gown.

A shiny silver frock with poufy sleeves, Alex's dress came with a jacket-like shawl, which she dramatically tore off before taking the stage to accept her golden trophy. Alex wore the wedding dress when she married her now ex-husband, Gilmore Girls actor Jackson Douglas, back in 1999. "This was from 20 years ago," the actress told Glamour magazine on the Emmys red carpet. "The marriage didn't last, but the dress did, and I wanted to give it new life, so now it's my Emmys dress. That's the truth." Well, darn — [insert ALL the clapping emoji here]. Read on to see Alex looking as glamorous as ever in her recycled wedding dress.
