Finally! A Bilingual Streaming Service With Culturally Relevant Content For Hispanics and Latinx

Minority and women-owned Canela Media has launched the streaming service Canela.TV that provides free access to unique, culturally relevant content for Hispanics and Latinx. The service is offering more than 8,000 hours of docuseries, telenovelas, cartoons, dramas, and action films to serve as the destination for premium video at home and on-the-go.

Isabel Rafferty, CEO and founder at Canela Media said in a press release that she wanted to offer "quality content that reflects the depth of our culture through an accurate portrayal of Hispanics' life experiences." She added that through Canela.TV, they are "expanding and enhancing the entertainment options available" for young Hispanics through captivating, high quality, and culturally relevant content that's free and accessible on any device.

A key aspect of this streaming service is the fact that the content is bilingual. Canela.TV carefully curated a library of series and films in Spanish and English that will reflect and celebrate the Hispanic identity through compelling storylines. They partnered up with different production houses such as Atr3s Media, Caracol Television, Legendary, Polka, Shoreline, and Spanglish, to guarantee the quality of the content.

Among the award-winning content the streaming service offers is Spanish thriller Más de 100 Mentiras, Argentinean drama Argentina, Tierra de Amor y Venganza, Colombian film Todos tus Muertos, highly-praised documentary Chavela, the popular Huevocartoon Productions' Huevo Kids, and the series Underground: La Historia del Reggaetón.

Canela.TV can be accessed anytime, anywhere at no cost and is now available for download at the App Store, Google Play, Roku, Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV and smart TVs.
