This Bride Wore Sheer, Fringe Pants on Her Wedding Day — and That Wasn't All

Sonia Stagg, the showroom director for Maryam Nassir Zadeh, thought outside of the box when it came to her bridal look. The tastemaker didn't wear a minimalist dress or a poufy Cinderella gown; instead, she chose a beaded fringe top and sheer pants to say her "I dos" in. The two-piece set was created by designer Alejandro Gómez Palomo, who runs the menswear label Palomo Spain.

While Sonia's bridal outfit was nontraditional, she did opt to wear a veil for the ceremony, which she borrowed from a friend. The bride's extraordinary outfit complemented the groom's wedding suit, which he designed from scratch. "There are all these places [in Malaysia] that you can get a suit made really nicely and quickly," Stagg said to Vogue. "He got to pick out all the fabrics, the lining in the suit, the shirt, and the cuff links. That was really fun."

The couple married in Tucson, AZ, and, judging from the photos, Sonia's bridal outfit was a complete hit. In fact, she may even wear the separates again postwedding. "I was wearing the top with jeans when I was getting my makeup done, and I was like, 'This is a really cute look. The pants are amazing [too]. They are so see-through, but if I have another occasion, I don't think it's too bridal.'" (We completely agree.)
