Meet the Actors Who Play the Young Counterparts of Your Favorite "Wednesday" Characters

"Wednesday" has captured Netflix viewers' attention with its star-studded cast, which includes the iconic Catherine Zeta-Jones and talented Jenna Ortega. But the show's multiple flashback scenes have also given fans a glimpse at younger versions of the characters we all know and love, featuring rising actors you might not be familiar with yet.

Young Morticia and Gomez Addams, in particular, are given quality screen time as they recount their old memories at Nevermore Academy, where Gomez was once accused of murder and Wednesday currently attends boarding school.

These younger actors help thicken the plot and give context as to why each character evolved into the person they are now. Plus, it's always incredible to see how the imaginative "Wednesday" hair and makeup team work to turn back time for each character.

Young Morticia Addams: Gwen Jones

One of the most legendary characters of the entire series required someone with the skills to follow her predecessors, which includes Anjelica Huston and Carolyn Jones. Thankfully, actor Gwen Jones fit the bill perfectly. "[W]ish I had more pictures but this was the BEST thing ever," she wrote on Instagram with photos in her glamorous "Wednesday" makeup. "[W]ould do it again x1000." Although this appears to be Jones's first credited acting role, fans loved her performance, and in full costume, she looked exactly like her adult counterpart, Zeta-Jones.

Young Gomez Addams: Lucius Hoyos

The younger version of Morticia's devoted husband was played by Lucius Hoyos, a 21-year-old actor and musician who shared plenty of behind-the-scenes footage from his time on set. (Did we mention he also plays the guitar?)

Hoyos also took a moment to spotlight the "Wednesday" prosthetics team on his Instagram: "A big thanks to the team who helped me transform. The prosthetic team did a fantastic job sticking a big nose on my face, and you can't look like Gomez without the waves, teeth and stache."

Young Wednesday Addams: Karina Varadi

Karina Varadi is the 10-year-old actor who took on the younger version of the titular Wednesday Addams, filming flashback scenes from Wednesday's childhood. Varadi, who is also a dancer, appears to be Ortega's mini-me, posing with her counterpart in a matching polka-dot costumes, long black braids and all.

Young Larissa Weems: Oliver Wickham

Oliver Wickham played the younger version of Principal Larissa Weems, whose adult character is portrayed by "Game of Thrones" alum Gwendoline Christie. Wickham is a multitalented 26-year old actor and singer who previously performed as Anna of Cleves in the Edinburgh Fringe and Cambridge performances of "Six the Musical." According to their Instagram, they are currently also starring in the Garrick Theatre's production of "Orlando."
