16 of Pedro Pascal's Best Movies and TV Shows, From "The Mandalorian" to "The Last of Us"

Pedro Pascal has taken on so many iconic roles throughout his career. After appearing in long-running TV series like "Law & Order" and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," Pascal snagged his first breakthrough role in 2014 when he began portraying a prince named Oberyn Martell in "Game of Thrones." The following year, he made his debut as DEA agent Javier Peña in "Narcos." But that was only the beginning of Pascal's major TV projects because, in 2019, Pascal joined the Star Wars universe as bounty hunter Din Djarin in "The Mandalorian." Most recently, he's made a splash as Joel Miller in HBO's "The Last of Us."

Pascal has had just as many notable movie roles, too. The star actor brought the DC Comics villain Maxwell Lord to life in "Wonder Woman 1984" and has been a part of huge film franchises like "Kingsman" and "The Equalizer." Plus, in 2022, he starred with Nicolas Cage in "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent."

Pascal's career is filled with so many hits, and he isn't going anywhere any time soon. After the first two episodes of "The Last of Us" premiered in January, its impressive ratings led HBO to renew the show for a second season. "Game of Thrones"

"Game of Thrones" ran on HBO for eight seasons from 2011 to 2019. It's based on George R.R. Martin's fantasy novel series A Song of Ice and Fire, which follows different noble families as they fight to take control of the fictional continent of Westeros. Pascal joined "GOT" in 2014 as Oberyn — a prince from House Martell. The character only appears in season four and ultimately comes to a particularly gruesome end while trying to avenge his sister's death, but Oberyn's mark on the series continues throughout its run.

The outbreak was caused by a fungal infection that turns its hosts into terrifying zombie-like creatures, so Joel and Ellie are met with constant danger on their trek as they try to avoid the infected. The show is based on the award-winning 2013 video game by Naughty Dog.

"Law & Order: Criminal Intent"

Pascal has made several appearances throughout the "Law & Order" TV franchise over the years. In 2006, he made his debut in the "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" episode titled "Weeping Willow," which involved the kidnapping of a popular vlogger named Willow.
