John Krasinski kicked off hosting the Jan. 30 episode of Saturday Night Live with a — well, a kiss. In the actor's opening monologue, members of the cast sitting in the audience heckled Jim John, asking him why he was in such great shape when The Office's Jim Halpert is supposed to be "soft," and where his wife Pam was. When John responded that his actual wife, fellow actor Emily Blunt, was in the United Kingdom, Kenan Thompson asked if Pete Davidson, who was standing next to John, was Pam.

"I think they really need for someone to be Pam," Pete said. "I think we gotta give them what they want, Jim. Jim, you gotta kiss Pam."

And, dear reader, to the cheers of "Kiss Pam! Kiss Pam! Kiss Pam!" that's absolutely what he did. It definitely hit a little different, but we wouldn't be surprised if Jenna Fischer wasn't at home quivering in Pam Beesly's sensible heels at that very moment.

See the memorable smooch in the video of John's monologue above — we won't judge if you rewatch it more than once.
