It's All Happening! Almost Famous Is Officially Being Turned Into a Musical
We hope you're sitting down for this, because Almost Famous is heading to the stage! On Tuesday, producers announced that Cameron Crowe's Oscar-winning film is being turned into a musical. The 2000 film stars Kate Hudson, Frances McDormand, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Billy Crudup and is a semi-autobiographical retelling of Crowe's personal experience as a teenager touring with rock bands in the '70s.
Crowe has been working on the musical for the past couple of years and first teased the project when he posted a Twitter video of composer Tom Kitt playing the piano.
