i understand the whole "price of fame" bit with paparazzi but someone who is leaving the hospital should be afforded just a bit more courtesy. we don't know why she was in there and i'm sure the last thing she wanted to see were paps shoving cameras in her face as she left.

Well it wasn't exactly nice of the photographers to swarm her as she was released from a hospital either. I don't blame him, it's not like they texted Ryan Seacrest to say "Ok today at 10 am we'll be leaving the hospital!"

I totally agree with everyone. If I was her and in the hospital I would've wanted him to be like that, I mean they dont know when to back off. It could've been a life or death situation and they should just respect others privacy. If it was reversed you know THEY would want to be left alone. Celebrities would be a lot nicer to paparazzi if they didnt cause car accidents, fights and stir up sh*t. Maybe they should think of that. I dont think that Chris was wrong for doing that in anyway...if anything it was the right thing to do because it shows he does care!

It sounded like that pap said "congratulations" and then her hubby said to have some respect. Lord, I hope that doesn't mean she was preggers and lost the baby. The paps are d*ickheads anyway, but that pap totally deserved a can of whoop-a*s if that's what went down. Why aren't all these celebs getting restraining orders? I guess cuz the orders require actual names, eh? Couldn't simply say TMZ, etc.?

I thought it was terrible the way the paparazzi were hounding them outside the hospital. At one point, one of the paparazzi (biggest jerk ever) was yelling "you're supposed to be a father" and something about breaking the car door if another photog didn't get the camera back that Chris has grabbed. Like it's their right to invade celebrities' space in this situation...but don't get me started.

Those paps need to get their A*SES beat. There has to be somewhere where a line is drawn. Celebrity status or not, this is still their LIFE and if she wants to keep some things about her life private then that's her right! Her husband should have knocked that one guy who charged him flat on his AS*.

I saw the video on TMZ and I actually thought that the paps were okay, nothing like the jerks that surround Britney.

i saw the video, and saw an assault and battery, plus a conversion of personal property. The streets are public property upon which anyone may walk.

A bit of an anger management issue here. Although one would hope for more deference to celebrities to pretend like they are "just like us," they aren't. He's worth millions, she is the daughter of hollywood royalty. They sought the spotlight, and make much $$$$$ off it. Sorry, but a little intrusion shouldn't bother them, and is certainly no excuse for intentional torts like the ones martin committed. I hope he gets sued. might teach him a lesson. he needs one.

Sure it would be nice if the paps weren't in someone's face when they were checking out of the hospital, and Chris could have handled it better, but in the context dealing with a critically ill spouse who had to be rushed to the hospital, most people wouldn't be at the most graceful. There is the rumor that she may have miscarried, and if that were the case, then I'd cut Chris some slack on that beat down.

I don't like the 'Congratulations', but I really think Chris Martin made things a lot worse by prolonging it. I feel very sorry for them both, if the rumour is true, and can see why he'd lose his head - it's just not smart to.

If it is true that she suffered a miscarriage, I don't blame them for not having a lot of patience with the paparazzi.

I guess I also should not comment on her look here, which is just not cute....Heidi can get away with pigtails even if she is a mother of three, but Gwyneth just looks like a poor college student with no sense of fashion. She looks so pale and lifeless ever since she got married and moved to England. Perhaps it's the English climate?

i haven't heard the preggo/miscarriage rumors yet - but i can understand why he would get upset. it's hard when you're a celeb and just want to go about your life as normal as possible - especially when there's medical stuff going on. i'm sure that he was just incredibly worried about gwyn...and rightly so. those 2 have made a great couple over the years and it's hard when you're being swarmed during a personal time

Yeah, I bet she miscarried... though I haven't heard any "official" (or unofficial) rumors yet, that was just my guess when I saw the description of her in the wheelchair "slumped over."

if they were pretending to be just like us, then chris would of taken the camera and beaten with it. sorry but if i was in the hospital and my guy saw a bunch of pepole harassing me, then he would of gone to jail.
