American Idol finally returned this week, promising us months of new TV to watch during the drought. But while we were patiently waiting for its return, Paula was working on her own music for the first time in over 10 years. She doesn't have any plans to come out with an album as of yet, but check out the single she recorded for Randy Jackson's upcoming compilation album. The video for it is even rumored to be premiering at the Super Bowl in a few weeks. Check out Dance Like There's No Tomorrow and tell us — love it or leave it?

Leave it, leave it, leave it. Paula needs to get over herself in so many ways.

It sounds like it belongs back in the 80's, along with all her other stuff. I feel like making jokes about being an aging pop star in denial, but I'm tired.

what i meant to say was... it hardly sounds like her. Could have been better. Maybe because we havn't heard her in a long while? IDK...

It's a good dance song. Not particularly deep or realistic sounding voicewise but a good song to shake your bum to!

If I didn't know it was supposed to be Paula, I'd think it was supposed to be Britney.

Like every other song out there nowadays, could be Britney Spears for all the processing it's been through.

I hung on till my ears started bleeding, maybe a minute? Horrific, she never had it, not in the 80's 90's or now. It freaking sounded like a robot singing it was so processed.

I think it sounds like a good club song. It actually sounds a little bit like a song J-Lo would sing all mixed up like that. I think it's better than Britney's computerized songs, but at least you can actually hear Paula's voice. She still has the higher voice like she did back in the 80's - not very soulful at all. Kind of teenage-like almost (?). Hm....

I think the song is decent, especially compared with what is out there now. I don't think it is great, but it isn't any worse than anything Nelly Furtado and Britney have put out.

These days, it doesn't matter who is behind the mic. It is all about who is producing.

Only got 25 seconds into it before I had to sop. Sounds like a Britney song, so over technified. And seriously, Paula's had some work done on her face and that's not a compliment.

Did anybody see her when that Asian man was singing the "brother's forever" song on AI Wednesday night? How EFFING annoying was she! Dancing in front of them... Ulgh. I couldn't stand it - I like this song though... It's catchy.

She's had some SERIOUS work done, and not good work at that.

Le E, I saw the clip of the stalker guy. She was ridiculous. For a "choreographer," she sure danced like hell.

I think that it's great that she wants to come out with a new song - but this is not a song for her. She's too old for this song! It sounds like another Britney pop tart song, which I like, but not coming from a 46 year old! She should do something more age appropriate!

I voted leave it, because it's good, but not 100% good! It misses something to be really catchy and I don't know what it is really!

    Still...i like the song.

WHOA, um...that'd be fine if she was 16 but I have a very hard time believing that I can find this 40-something drama queen 'where ever the party is at.'

It isn't that bad, but I used to be a huge Paula fan in the 90s, so her music is very nostalgic for me. This would have fit in well with the Spellbound album.

Sounds like Britney Spears in 10 to 15 years, and that's not a compliment... and that's assuming Britney even has a career then. Paula needs to stick to being her weird, goofy self on American Idol... she was awesome back in the 90's but those days are loooooooooooong gone.

I could dance this song like there's no tomorrow - but I definitely don't want to see her singing this. It would kill my vibes totally. She is too old for this.

it's funny . . .i bet the same ppl who think it sounds like everything else probably has "Umbrella" and other annoying songs on their playlist.

the song is a pop song, and it sounds like a good pop song.

i think ppl automatically DON'T want to like it because

    1) it's Paula Abdul
    2) she's older now

she's not the problem, it's your ideal of what is acceptable in pop music . . . now i don't want to hear crap about Ashley simpson being "H.O.T to the max" on future post, okay ladies???

crap is crap no matter the person or age . . .
