Kate helped Ryder celebrate his 4th birthday with a trip to the zoo on Monday, but after that it was time to get back down to party business. Ryder had a bash at Taverna Tony's in LA, complete with party hats, balloons and his new girlfriend. Kate's little man may be old enough to choose his own hairstyle and even do a little modeling, but he's still willing let his mom help him out with the dinner utensils. So cute.

Not sure what is more disturbing paps stalking a kid on his 4th birthday or that a news story was created around the pics? I agree, Ginger, but she should be able to take her kid anywhere. There's a basic lack of respect for the kid's privacy and anonymity. And no he doesn't need a hair cut, whatever look he and his parents want is their business. His looks shouldn't be open to judgment... anyone gonna head over to the local pre-school and do the same?

Okay I think he is adorable. He looks just like Kate! And that little girl he hangs out with is just precious. Leave the kid alone about his hair he probably likes it like that because all the big boys have long hair.
