Get these skanks away from those babies! The other chick is I think her first name is Kim last Kardashian...somethin like that, correct me if wrong. She seems to date only peeps with names. Like Nick Lachey, Brandy's little brother, and most recent Nick Cannon. I wonder how much she made off this deal!

This is the FIRST time I've ever seen Paris do something even remotely charitable. No wonder it looks uncomfortable. Maybe she'll keep trying and will get better at it.

The intention is good, but who the heck *poses* in a sick children's hospital? All of the celeb pics I've seen look more candid and not contrived, like Prince William holding a sick infant or Nicole Kidman visiting (possible the same) hospital and just spending time with the kids.

Paris probably didn't want to be around the older ones because she might've had to give them a hug or something. :roll eyes:

You know, usually Paris doesn't bug me much. BUT - this is so trashy. Clearly just a photo-op and that poor baby is being completely exploited. It is not as if they are playing with children that might, for some reason, look up to them. They are using a sick infant. It sickens me.

There's also a picture in today's paper of Paris posing with an older child. She's signing a drawing of a rainbow.

Paris is trying.

SHe's trying alright. She's trying my patience.

Bear in mind that Paris has probably never been taught how to behave in the face of problems that money cannot solve. She's doing her best. She might be really scared and trying to cover... that baby sure looks fragile. And hopefully, if she keeps visiting hospitals and doing charitable work, she'll get the hang of it. Who knows how any of us would react? I, for instance, never been to the NICU of any hospital. Unless that sick baby was mine, I'd be terrified to pick it up. And if I was a celebrity, I'd be even more out of my element. Can you imagine the lawsuit if something happened to that poor child while Paris was holding it? I would like to believe she is making a legitimate effort. If she's not, well, that's between her and her conscience.

SHE is one of the world's richest women, but that didn't stop Paris Hilton skipping out on a $9.80 bill at a Sydney cafe yesterday.

Ms Hilton left a barely nibbled hamburger sitting on a plate at Sloanes Cafe in Paddington and wandered off to continue shopping, having forgotten to pay for a mineral water and a frappe.

"She's got bucketloads of money and she didn't pay for her drinks," said a waitress, Jo Pfahl.

The socialite's faux pas occurred during a quick stop at the cafe while shopping in Paddington's Oxford Street strip. One of Ms Hilton's publicists had ordered and paid for two burgers while the hotel heiress and her stylist friend, Kim Kardashian, shopped for lingerie and jewellery next door.

She was joined by Ms Hilton, clad in a white kaftan, gold headband and gold sunglasses, and Ms Kardashian, who ordered the beverages. "[Paris] had a little chat with a waiter up front, then they all got up and walked out without paying," Ms Pfahl said. Staff joked they could recoup the loss by selling the remains of Ms Hilton's meal on eBay.

Ms Hilton's appearance at the cafe was unexpected and there was no deal to provide free drinks, said Pepita Macalister-Knight, whose parents own the cafe. "[At first] we had no idea it was her."

In stark contrast, Ms Hilton put her credit card to work at the lingerie store Arianne Lingerie, spending $2750 on stockings, jewellery, a camisole and a U-bra, an undergarment designed for plunging necklines.

"She was really lovely, she didn't even request that I close the doors," said Christene Reedy, whose shop was surrounded by 30 onlookers and paparazzi.

Ms Hilton planned to see in the new year on the harbour in the company of Sam Branson, son of the airline mogul Sir Richard Branson.

paris and kim have been shopping from david jones sydney and paddington area during their stay so far and lunch at wooloomooloo area, which is common for most foreign celebrities once they come to sydney

Why is she bothering with this - The babies could probably sense her insincerity. I think they have that ability. If I were the parents of those babies I would not let that woman near them. Now if she wanted to donate some $ for their care that would be a different story but there is no mention of that is there....Paris is so self centered!!!

Oh, and her little friend is just as pathetic as she is.....

God. I really like her showing hospitality and warmth and CARING about others, but these pictures just prove what a selfish heiress she is. I actually when reading this, was stunned and apreciative about her commitment. Then from the photos she looks just like she's showing off, with that other pal too. Could they wear something more casual to the hospital or w.e please?!

If I was a sick kid I'd rather go to Disneyworld. She should donate money. The money she paid to get dressed, get extensions and put on makeup to go see the kids could have been used to help the kids. Most the people I've known do not get dressed up to go see sick children. Look at Angie.
