i never understood why hollywood is so obsessed with pregnancy

I've never understood why the general public is so obsessed with Hollywood pregnancies. I hate pregnancy speculation. It's her uterus, let her decide if she wants to share her news.

I can understand her wanting to stay mum about it. She has said how traumatizing it was to lose a baby the first time with Tom, I can't imagine having to experience it now, with public fascination even more.

(If she were to miscarry again, I mean).

I agree, controlled. Which is another reason I hate speculation - can you imagine something like that happening and still having to see "is Nicole pregnant??" everywhere?

I wish her all the best. I agree, I don't like pregnancy speculation. I feel like all it does is invade people's privacy and/or make non-pregnant people feel fat.

Remember the phase when the tabloids would spot a slight curve in Nicole or Jennifer Aniston's tummies, and say they had a baby bump? We shouldn't analyze women's bodies like that, it isn't healthy for both the star and the public.

I know it's one of the things I'm really inconsistent on, given how much I enjoy speculation of all sorts when it comes to celebrities.

I guess it's the whole "personal loss" thing. Pregnancy, especially early on, is so personal and fragile. I can't imagine the pain that goes into seeing these headlines if you're trying to conceive and can't, or have conceived and lost it, etc.

And I agree about the "bump" analysis. God forbid a woman bloat once in awhile.

I really hope she gets the chance to have a baby (she seems to really want that).

Esp now that she is with a real man and not the GMD cult fanantic.

I agree with everyone. Especially with a woman that has previously miscarried before, she has the right to keep it private until she feels comfortable announcing it.

i never understood the fascination with nicole kidman. sure, she's got lovely botoxed skin and a petite little bod, but she's a crap actress!

I don't care much for her but I hope that she is pregnant, since she's had such a struggle with it.

I think that she is courting the attention to a certain degree. She is out and about in Australia bringing attention to her midsection and playing coy with reporters. Since she has had issues with getting pregnant and staying that way, she would have been smarter to get out of the public eye and re-emerge when she is past the point of a miscarriage.

I just can't see Nicole as a mom. She comes off as frigid and icy... like my mom!! But, I do hope that she has a good pregnancy, if she is indeed pregnant. I wouldn't wish miscarriage on anyone.

Just leave her alone awhile...let her body do her thing if she's pregnant...sheesh. As Madonna says...Let it will be.

The great thing about a pregancy and pregnancy rumours: after a while you can't deny neither of it anymore. So, I personally sit back and wait. Sooner or later we'll know for sure whether they get a baby or not. *shrugs*

In reply to some of the unflattering remarks regarding Nicole's acting abilities, I have come up with a list of films I enjoy her in. I have watched each and every single one of Nicole's movies and more than a few are worth more than one viewing.
