That's wonderful! My friend's father works with the Hilton grandparents and he said that they are very embarassed of their family and what they've become. I'm not surprised by this decision.

I'm not surprised. The funny thing is that Conrad Hilton left his children with ZERO, and Barron proved to a court that he had actually WORKED hard for his portion of the inheritance...and he won. Paris Hilton on the other hand has done nothing but sully the family name!!!

I think the family went downhill when Rick married Kathy. But I wonder if Rick even works? If neither parent is working and has no other inheritance to leave the kids then yeah, I'd say Paris will be broke within the next 10 years! lol

Too bad she doesn't have much of an education. She probably couldn't even qualify to get hired by any of the aid groups the money is going to.

If an average person with some brains got handed a million dollar windfall, they could invest it in a way that they could have a modest income for life without working.

Paris Hilton probably can't support her lifestyle for more than a few weeks on a million. She does get millions from endorsements and appearances, but she's nearing 30, so how long can she keep being marketable for youth-related products like clubs and perfumes.

I thought she was only supposed to inherit around 35 million to begin with, which this girl could blow through in a few years judging by her lifestyle.

While she'll only inherit 5 mil, I wonder what her current trust stands at. It could be a large sum (and wouldn't be calculated in her grandfather's estate). She'll be fine, she's like a cockroach... if the world was hit by a massive meteor she'd still be left. ugh.

I also think 5 Million is before taxes (which will take about 50%). I heard there is around 95 million to be divided among all of the children (her parents, uncles, aunts) and the grandkids (all of their children). I think there are around 14 people total.
