Romo is a promising QB but he's not very stable/reliable, maybe he's not matured yet and although there's a possibility dating a celeb can be overwhelming, but REALLY, it's his DAMN JOB for being a QB. And they have so much vacation time, he can be as distracted as he can be after the play offs.

Now, he needs to step up and just perform well each game and be UN-distracted. He'd BETTER be, he's paid SO MUCH for being a QB.

Some of y'all are clearly not football fans. Right or wrong there is a huge amount of superstition, and Romo plays poorly when he has a S.O. at the game.

I would probably take more issue with the freaking pink jersey. Wear his number in a girly color and he plays like a girl. (Meant not in a "girls rock" way but more in a "sports fan saying" way. No offense.)

Quite frankly I think Jessica S. needs to get okay with herself, without a guy before she starts professing love to anyone else. It's probably why she comes across as desperate sometimes.

Oh, and Romo just needs some maturity. Like someone else said, he doesn't play well with distractions. The Tom Brady analogy is very apt.

I think it is more likely that Tony Romo gets distracted too easily. They were saying Carrie Underwood was a curse and now Jessica. Maybe Tony needs to just leave his lady friends at home. Why blame the girls - it's his fault he can't stay focused.

She didn't just attend, she acted like an idiot, stroking her plastic hair, jiggling her boobs for the camera, doing everything for attention. She ruined the game for a lot of people watching. At least gisele manages to attend her boyfriend's games with some class, and she is actually hot, unlike this baboon.

I think people need to cut this girl some slack. I can't believe this story is as hyped up as it is. Maybe Tony Romo should take responsibility for his level of play instead of everyone blaming it on Jessica Simpson?!

i agree that having jessica there was a big distraction for the fans, so i can only imagine how distracting it was for romo (who does have a history of playing terribly when his lady-friends are in attendance). while it is not wholely jessica's fault, she should respect the fact that she's distracting him and choose not to attend future games. if my (imaginary) boyfriend came to my job, made an ass of himself and otherwise prevented me from doing my job, you can bet your sweet arse that my boss would say something to both him and me...

as for TO, as a cowboy's fan, i wasn't thrilled when he came to dallas, but he's proven himself this season (eagles game notwithstanding), and that comment was made purely in jest. from what i've read in other mediums (dallas morning news blog), he was laughing and CLEARLY just poking fun at romo/simpson but that part was conveniently left out of all of the reports. besides, he's already apologized (per todays DMN).

I think it's time for poeple to get over it. it's a game. seriously! hey, if you can't play under pressure... you're not that good to begin with.

What did she do to draw attention to herself? I think it's sweet that she is supporting her significant other, and I agree that if Tony lets something like this distract him, then he's not a great player in the first place. A truly great sportsman is focused on what's in front of him, i.e. the game, the opponent, the ball, whatever the sport may be, not what's behind him in the stands.

I should add that I was being serious in asking what she did to make an idiot of herself. I don't doubt it, I just didn't see any coverage of the game.

i never said jessica was solely to blame. injuries KILLED the cowboys against the eagles. plus, the eagles' coach is 13-6 versus the cowboys; some teams just don't play well (or play better) against certain teams (mavs vs. golden state; texas vs. a&m). tony himself was hurt. wade phillips should have taken him out b/c of his thumb.

HOWEVER, jessica was making a spectacle of herself. she was kissy-kissy with the camera, showing off her "9" jersey, shaking her boobs for the camera...she was begging for the attention. other sports gfs don't do that. and b/c she was, it's possible that she was a distraction for tony, on top of everything else. T.O. was JOKING. he has a right to joke. he has a right to be upset. he gets paid to play a game and win. it's his job. they have a great chance of going to the superbowl. who wants to watch that pass them by in part b/c their QB gets a few extra butterflies b/c his girlfriend is being a douche in the stands?

I hate the pink jersey too. I feel like it's something only girls who want to act like they know a lick about football would wear. Someone was saying the other day that in most sports, the girlfriends/wives of players don't wear their mens' jerseys because it's tacky. I agree. Usually I've only seen the parents of the players wear their sons' jerseys in the stands - and groupies.

The only other celebrity I've seen not be obnoxious about cheering for her man is Angie Harmon. She was genuinely cheering on the Giants (when he was with them) without a tacky jersey or mugging it up whenever she saw herself on tv.
