Which is fine, but the average 16-year-old single baby mama can't afford to do that. I just hope she's smart enough not to glamorize this—because having seen how difficult it is for single teenage moms, I'm guessing Jamie-Lynn's experience will be anything but typical.

This really is just so unfortunate. Children should not be raised in Hollywood. It seems there are no kids in Hollywood who can actually have the experience of being a kid anymore.

Dumb Dumb Dumb girl, all people think about now is money. Honestly, people with money and fame could do SO much with their lives, but decide to waste it. Don't get me wrong, I think all children are blessings, but I think its stupid that I'm working my butt off to pay for college and a better education, while some sixteen year old who makes 3X as much as me gets knocked up and showcases her pregnancy around. Sparkliegirl - how can you say these are the best years of her life? I hated it when people told me my "high school" years would be the best of my life - in fact, they were the worst so far and probably are for most kids. You are going through huge changes, everything is so "teenage dramatic", and you want to have freedom but still aren't old enough since you aren't of age. She isn't losing the best years of her life, lets all hope that the best years are still to come! It makes it sound as if people should just die after they turn 18, I mean, if those were the best years what else is there to live for? Anyways, this was a bad decision on her part to not be more careful with her birth control planning, but mistakes happen. She isn't a wh*re, plenty of people fool around when they are teenagers (not saying it is right or wrong) and some people make mistakes. Her mother should have been a better influence, but then again, a 16 year old who wants to do something will most likely find a way to do it despite a parents best efforts. I just hope for this child that her comments about being a responsible adult about the situation do come to fruition.

It's sad that Britney can't be the role model Jamie Lynn never had...a friend of mine's mom was not there for him at all, so he relied on his sister to be there for him and guide him through his teenage years. Jamie Lynn doesn't even have that...Britney's such a mess. Lynne should most definitely be ashamed of herself.
