trixiefire, i think some members have brought up the "marriage+baby=the only right way" as you put it because SOOOO many celebrities DO have the baby before marriage. i don't think that thought is being applied in everyday sense but just in hollywood. i can't speak for "the moral majority the only people that post here" but it really would be nice if one of these female celebs get married before having the baby, like with christina aguilera.

and yes there is no rule you have to be married first- and i'm sur emany women do a good job being a single mother. but would it hurt to get married first? or to at least be dating for a good long chunk of time (i'm meaning years here). but really marriage- it'd be nice to see that once in a while! marry a man or a woman, i don't care! just stop getting knocked up less than a year into relationships!

What does marriage have to do with it? What exactly does it provide? It sure doesn't provide any more stability. Just talk to all the divorced people. And there are PLENTY of people that get married before having a child. It's not like anyone's saying getting married first is a bad decision, just that it doesn't really matter if they don't.

As to Lily Allen - eh, not sure if I'm surprised or not. Maybe a little. No more drunken benders I guess. I don't know much of her music, but it seems pretty good so far.

As to the 16 year old Britney Jr, well ... I could care as much about her as I do that Cyrus chick... not at all.

Yeah yeah yeah everybody wants to act like having kids before marriage is ok but can we at least have a stable relationship here! She knew dude allegedly for 3 months?? That is pathetic if true. Yeah it happens all the time and everyone makes mistakes but being a single mom in a relationship that will most likely fail is NOT cool! No, marriages rarely last nowadays but maybe if people invested a little time to getting to know somebody before making these huge life changing decisions, maybe marriage could work. She spent all that time hypnotizing herself to lose weight she should have hypnotized herself not to get knocked up.

Congrats to Lily but really who cares if people are married before having a baby? Divorce is high and technically having a baby with someone is a connection with that person for life so what does it matter if they get a marriage license?
