I don't think Russe Crowe RELATIVE to other actors is overpaid. They keep showing A Beautiful Mind on TV and I keep thinking that he got robbed by not getting the Oscar that year. He was incredible. That would have been two years in a row for him and I don't think they wanted to do that.

Boo yah! Russell Crowe is worth every dollar. He always gives topnotch performances and he never makes bad trashy movies just for the money (hello Nic Cage I'm talking to you). So that list could shut up >:(

I agree. I think most actors are overpaid (there are a few I think are underpaid) but in relation to other actors, Russell deserves to be a top-earner. I don't like him as a person from what I've read, but he is an incredible actor and should be recognized.

Now Jim Carrey and Will Ferrell, not so much.

People go to movies and watch tv because they like the stars that are in it. Like with the cast of Friends...ad space for that show sold for MILLIONS of dollars. It is only right that actors make a decent portion of the profit that the studios see, because they are the reason people tune in.

And most stars and super wealthy people DO give a ton of money to charity...they need it for the tax right off.

I agree Jillness...everyone is NOT overpaid, and Russell Crowe definitely isn't. He always delivers...he is an excellent actor!!!

It's funny you say that Jillness, because I was just thinking about Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott are being the Next Johnny Depp and Tim Burton. Crowe and Scott have done 3 movies together, and there are more down the rode!!!

I would agree with the Russell Crowe thing, but his last two movies, "American Gangsta" and "3:10 to Yuma" were big hits! Russell is a solid actor and has picked a couple of romantic comedies which where wrong for him. He was mis-casted in "Cinderella Man". He should have been Richard Langdon in "DaVinci Code", not Tom Cruise.

Crowe is sexy and raw, you can't deny that.

I'd have so paid that for the Rowling book. Totally worth it.
