From what I've heard, this movie lives up to the hype. I certainly hope so. Christopher Reeve is a hard man to follow!

I saw it last night, and like you I was a little uncertain but he convince me because he look and sound like Christopher Reeve, its really good I recommend it.

FB1977 definitely not silly. alot of us are going to be super critical when we go to see this movie. when i first saw mr. routh i was shocked at the uncanny resemblance...on the same hand i feel he better do good or im gonna go kryptonite on his butt!

I am so excited for this movie. I have friends that worked on it in various aspects, and they all had wonderful things to say about the integrity of the production. I think Brandon really respects Reeves...and I think he is very talented on his own as well.

I haven't got to see the film yet, but I am REALLY excited to see it. Time magazine, the Hollywood Reporter, and Variety all had incredibily flattering things to say about Brandon and the film. They said it is powerful, "as much for what it says as for what it shows". I think it will be more than just a special effects movie, but will have heart too.

My friend it and said it was okay but the effects really tanked. When he flew it looked so fake. But that means nothing cause Fantastic Four was horrible but it did great at the Box Office

Jillness, me too! My hairdresser's boyfriend worked on all the special effects of this movie. He's so excited to see his work come to life on the big screen.

i saw it tuesday night. i'm not a comic book person at all, but i liked it + i'll see it again. i don't understand how anyone could say that the flying looked fake, though. the special effects are as about as good as it gets. i think you have to take criticisms of it w/ grains of salt since fanboys are a notoriously impossible group of people to please. but everyone in the theater went crazy throughout the whole thing, clapping at all the right moments, etc. one thing i liked about the movie is that it focused more on the characters + wasn't just about showing all the cool stunts superman is capable of pulling off.

there's an interesting plot development i won't mention here. it's not really a secret if you think about it for two seconds, but some people have been thrown by it, so i won't spoil anything. i'm sure they have something interesting brewing for the sequels, though.
