Brad Gushes About His Houses and His Kids

After showing off his pink houses to Ann Curry, Brad Pitt sat down with Larry King to talk more about his Make It Right program. On tonight's episode, Brad describes the foundation and talks about how he's applying the same eco-friendly program in his own home(s). To check out what those houses look like under those pink tents, click here. As for Larry King, of course he couldn't help throwing in a few questions about Angelina and the kids — who, by the way, are planning on staying in New Orleans through Christmas. When asked about how Brad felt about the "hardest job in the world" (fatherhood), he said:

"The hardest job in the world. The most rewarding job in the world. There's something to — with the long days in here, we're out here as soon as the sun comes out and to come home and have dinner with your kids and have to discipline one of them who is out of line and still have the energy for that is — I can't explain the fulfillment of that but it is everything."

To see more of what Brad had to say about the kids and his relationship with Angie, just read more

  • On his kids: "They're as much my blood as I am theirs. And they are brothers and sisters. And I look at this. One of them came from Ethiopia, and one from Vietnam, one from Cambodia, and one was born in Namibia. And they are . . . they are brothers and sisters. And they have fun, and they squabble and they fight, just like any other family."
  • On getting emotionally involved and working with Angelina:
"That came after. But she is a woman of strong opinion and very specific beliefs and a great voice, I respect it, great intelligence."
  • On whether or not he and Angelina fight often:
"No, not really. Challenge each other a lot. Have good fun with that. "

That is so sweet of him. And I think he is a good role model for other men. There are way too many deadbeat dads out there!

He seems tired, poor dude — but I respect him for doing so much press to raise awareness about the work that needs to be done in New Orleans. And how cute and geeky is he when he starts talking about solar panels? That makes me dig him more than any shirtless posing he's done in the past.

Gotta love "Brad the Dad"!!! He is so content with his home life, and I just love him for this work that he's doing in New Orleans. I like that he stepped up and became the face!!!

I don't think he should be a role model for other married men though! I can't help but still be on Team Jennifer!

him and beckham need to interview each other. I think it'd be an overload of niceness-hotness-sincereness to which i think my mind and eyes would explode... in a good way.

There are men out there who are just shells of skin and looks, but over time Brad has gained so much depth and compassion for people - it's fantastic.

Still talking about Team Aniston? Boy, some people are really stuck. Probably still have the same hair style as back in high school. Unless you are still in high school.

I know. I thought the whole team mess would be over by now.

Brad Pitt seems really content with his life. Tired, definitely, but really happy.

I can't help but think how well the public perception of his character survived the tabloid gossip about the timing of his marriage ending and solidifying his relationship with his new partner... that takes some very precise and well-thought out PR.

I don't think it's PR, as I think it's moreso the fact that sensible people in 2007 realize that a marriage ending happens EVERY DAY!!! The divorce rate is over 50% for goodness sakes. How many of us grew up in divorced households or went through a divorce? This isn't news to logical people!

I think it's amazing to see how far he has come. He's always had this compassion in him; he just lost his way for a little bit.

You can't deny how happy he is with his life and what he is doing for the people of NOLA is extraordinary. Mega kudos to him and everyone else involved down there.

I think it's obvious he fell in love with Angelina while Mr and Mrs Smith was shooting but if he says nothing happened until after, I believe him. Anyway, he's already said in another interview that he persued Angelina after splitting up with Aniston. You can't persue someone you're already with.

This is so beyond amazing for the city of New Orleans. As a life-long resident, I couldn't be happier with this project. I wish people would stop saying bad things on this board. If you don't like him, don't read about him. If you question his commitment to the city - he bought a house here, lives here, and invests time in helping the recovery effort. Wow. If only more people would do that. He's raising awareness about the problems that New Orleans is still facing (and there are tons). Even if you still think it's a PR stunt (I don't know how, but whatever...), does it really matter? The end result is that more people get to move home to an affordable, sustainable, hopefully safe environment, and New Orleans may be finally getting some accurate publicity about a particular si
