OMG, Jolie-Pitt School Cuteness!

NYC has served as a good homebase for the Jolie-Pitts over the past few weeks (closer to all their European adventures) and it looks like they're here to stay, well, as much as they ever stay anywhere. Here's Maddox on his way into his third day of school this morning at an elite French language private school on the Upper East Side. So. Cute. Meanwhile, Pax and Z weren't looking too shabby themselves, probably doing some pre-school shopping of their own with mom yesterday before hitting the park. Hypothetically, the family is in town for at least as long as it takes Brad to shoot Burn After Reading (the Coen bros movie...with Clooney) in Jersey, so hopefully little Mad will enjoy his school (and maybe get in a few more ball games).

How do these kids ever make friends in school if they switch them so much?

I have a question. Do schools that have uniforms allow kids to do anything to them. I've seen a lot of kids who wear uniforms customise them or do something to make them unique. At the school I went to they regulated your uniform right down to the colour of socks and shoes, the style of shoes, stockings and skirt length.

    Nyar,

Depends on the type of school you attend. I went to a uniform school...for only 1 year, LOL (Opus Dei at that)...and they did regulate everything from no pants EVER for girls...even when it was snowing and cold as balls outside...but lately, I've seen uniform schools be a bit more relaxed.

As for the pictures, they are cute...as with most Jolie-Pitt pics...but...but...but...I'm going all Serial Mom over here with those white pants after Labor Day (at least the shoes are tan), LMAO

Thanks I was wondering cos I've seen some pretty weird stuff overseas but back hom the government and private schools were crazy about their uniforms. At my school you could only buy the uniform at one place and the sports clothes were also regulated, it was funny but at the end of the day we looked pretty good in our uniform, especially if you were seniors cos you were allowed to wear high heels and that rocked.

Those tan shoes are almost as annoying as Sh!tney's boots. As are the black Louboutins.

Madd goes to the same Lychee school in La, New Orleans, and Prague as in NYC..it has the same program.. so even though he jumps around a lot he is more than likely stay on track.

As for friends, he is at that age where he can make friends in a heartbeat..and he has built in best friends in his siblings.

3rd grade on is when you start to make best friends..he has some time.

i went to a school with uniforms too. i've worn uniforms all my younger school days, except when i went off to my college days. one things for sure, i didn't have to worry about what to wear for school. when i entered college, my clothes were easily worn out because i had to wear them all the time. i spent more money on clothes. as for doing anything unique, we weren't allowed to do anything with them. the length of our skirts, to the length of our ties (yes we have ties so dont's start please), and down to the socks and color of shoes and even color of inner chemise. i think that's the real deal with private schools. their very particular with the strict uniform code.

I hope I get to see them before they leave NYC. I would be so happy if I ever bump into them!

Maddox is rocking his uniform like to other. Since school started Ive been sinces very cute Kiddies with their uniforms on! Ahhhh, how I don't miss those days!

I wore uniforms in Elementary and high school. My HS uniform was below the knee, I tried to roll it up every time I left the house but it was always lop sided.

They are the cutest family. I am glad to see them trying to give their kids a normal life. Well as normal as it can get having them as parents.

Benna I agree. They need stability and a place to call home. Its cool and all to be cultured, but to only have your siblings as friends is not that great of an idea. You need other people in your lives.

We only wore ties in the winter lol. In the summer it was too ho. We had striped shirt in the summer and clear basically see-through shirts so as not to clash with hte green tie in winter. Monitors had cream ties and prefects had green ties with the fountain. We had to wear our blazer on Monday and Friday and whenever we went to a ports match which was every weekend as we were forced to attend matches to support our tems. You actually had a crad to fill out for match attendance and you were punished if you missed your matches.

It's funny, because no matter what the Pitt-Jolies do, they get people hating on the. I just find it really funny. They really seem to make sure there children are well loved, and are VERY hands on with their kids. Wonderful Parents.

seriously, private schools are so ridiculous. i had such a culture shock when i got into college because in private schools, every things just served in a plate for you. its all right there for the taking, whereas you go into a university, you have to do every single thing on your own. it's such a big leap from what you've had all your student life.

Benna said: I can not wait to see and hear about their troubled lives in a few years.

Response: you are not right in the head. I don't care what you think about the parents, but that's psychotic. What did your parents do to you for you to become this kind of person?

Looove the uniform. In my view, it's more important to live with both parents all the time rather than stay in the same house. They have to sacrifice one or the other. The best memories from my childhood are from living in different places and the friends I made. Some are my facebook friends now.

I wonder how many languages these kids are expected to learn? I mean, is Maddox going to be trilingual (English, French, and Cambodian)?

I don't know about where you live but private schools in my country make university a walk in the park. They are hard and their curriculum is hard but once you go to university abroad and you get credits for courses and you graduate early jusst because you did in high school it makes it worth it. People here complain about 5 courses and I'm like I did 9 courses in high school with class from 7.25am to 3pm Monday to Friday and a lunch break that lasted 40 miuntes if your teacher let you out on time. Stop complaining. The private schools back home are off the cahin and mine really does prepare you for the outside world. University is way easier than my high school.

It is raptin, I speak 3 fluently and 3 not too fluently but enough to get by comfortably and I'm still learning. I love the fact that I can converse with someone from another country without looking like a fool.
