Considering how many hours she rehearsed for that House of Blues tour, as sad as that was, it seems unlikely she is in any shape to be on the VMA stage next month.

It's funny, if you read the link about Britney performing at the VMAs, it says that it was 4 years ago she had the kiss with Madonna. 4 years! I cannot get over how much Britney has changed. That performance feels like forever ago!

Why put her on the cover (photoshopped to the max) when she looks nothing like this?? Every magazine airbrushes, but at least it looks like the person. This has got to be one of the worst covers I have ever seen. When you have to completely re-do EVERYTHING on someone..why even bother??

That right there is probably why Britney never will. People should let her just get better, at this point, a come back would be something even more self destructive because it's pretty obvious she's not at a place to do that in a healthy way.
Instead of a "come back" and dreaming about the VMA's why not hope Britney gets serious help so she can actually live, and take care of her children. She is on such a self-destructive path, this really isn't about a come back anymore & it seems really shallow to think it is, and over look the rest

I'm so tired of her - seriously there are so many young, new, and talented artists out there that could so take her place. Why does everyone focus on her?? She honestly used to make me sick seeing her face every two seconds when she was the *iT* girl.

People focus on her because it's not often you can see someone fall from the highest place to the lowest place, right in front of our eyes. Like a slow moving train wreck you can't stop, but you have to watch.

phatE is dead-on. Most normal people seem to recognize that if Britney doesn't get help she's headed for something tragic. But then there is the handful of fans/enablers, who cheer her airbrushed beyond recognition images and every rumor of a new song release, holding out for some "old Britney" to return.

Unfortunately this is it... the same girl you all loved when she was packaged by handlers. Now you are get the real Britney and it's not so pretty.

well, you cant expect them to put on the cover looking like she does, noone would buy the magazine! maybe this should be a clue to her. if magazines have to photoshop you so much that it doesnt even look like you anymore, you probably look like crap.

i don't see what the big deal is. all of allure's covers are photoshopped. i think this looks like britney after makeup, lighting and editing. i don't think her body or face are so terrible today. she has strong legs and some flesh on her bones. of course, brit brit was never exactly beautiful... just a sexpot lolita type who got older.

I am not a Britney fan but you know that she is going to end up killing herself cuz all the media does is cut her down time and time again. She is mentally ill she doesn't need gossip pages and rag mags constantly up her a**. She hasn't even made music in years it is unbelievable to me that she is still followed around and stalked like she is. At the end of the day she is f*cking human and it makes me sick to see that after all this time of her shooting downward people still take some sick pleasure in her mental illness. I don't care if she ever makes another record in her life but from one 20 something female to another I hope she gets some serious medical attention before she kills herself. I am sure that most of the haters are overweight and fug chicks who hated on her when she was in top shape cuz they felt jealous of her now they can all have a laugh at her expense. She is a hurting human being I cannot believe that people have NO compassion what-so-ever, she is obviously sick and it is NOT COOL to make fun of people who have mental issues. It could happen to anyone, 2 close friends of mine got diagnosed with Bi-Polar disorder in their mid 20's and their lives have never been the same. It's all fun and games until she kills herself, mental illness is NO JOKE. Maybe one day you or one of your children will get diagnosed and then maybe people can laugh at your kid as they lose control of situations in their life. It can happen to anyone people so stop being so naive.

The cover photo does NOT "give me vague hope for Britney's future," but quite the opposite. It makes me sad how the magazine industry is so terribly fake, taking an obvious train-wreck of a girl, and turning her into an image we all will idolize? That is wrong on so many levels. And it also reinforces to Britney that she is "ok" and looking good.
