Last year I was on a flight and the kid (about 16 years old) kitty-corner from me took off his shoes, but his gross bare feet on the arm rest in front of him, and watch some booby flick on his laptop.

i don't think she looks so great here but who cares? what's wrong with being a normal person? her job is not to look amazing all the time, it's acting in films, and i think she's good at it. i would hate people judging my appearance all the time, especially considering that she doesn't chase after the limelight like some other girls her age. to me, those girls are inviting judgement, not kirsten.

Dang. I'm sorry, but I have always loved Kirsten. I do think Maggie G. and Kirsten both love that bra-less look. For some reason I think it's more of a fashion statement, then just being grimy. She picked up this style somewhere between The Virgin Suicides and Crazy/Beautiful..a movie where she really did look dirty and unkempt. I think it's her rebellion.

Bamma, I couldn't agree more. She's an actress, that's her profession. Someone here could be an accountant, that's your profession. Neither means you have to be constantly putting on a show off the clock. Fame-seekers are another matter, people who are always courting the papparazzi and just want to be famous. Of course they have to look like a hot mess all the time just to get attention. Those folks are attention-getters by profession, and acting, singing, etc. are just side gigs. When was the last time you saw Meryl Streep boozing it up for the cameras wearing a bra and panties? It's possible to be talentless in Prada, and a brilliant actor wearing a paper sack. And it certainly seems how much an actor craves attention is directly and inversely related to how much talent they have.
