I think the trust of her fans will help win back the studios but it sounds like getting a job might not even be in the works for her. Some people just never make it back...and then they end up on the Surreal Life, sorry Linds.

She is an addict! And we all know you can not trust an addict! But I am still holding out that she will get help and then will be trustworthy again.

I really don't care about her and i think we all should stop caring about those young trainwrecks, only then they will realize that they've made very stupid choices!

Yeah, it's not trust. She's another one that I can't stand/have no sympathy for. For me, it's simple: If you have an issue with addiction and you're serious about getting clean, you do what you have to do to reach that goal. Change your life, dump the friends who enable you, get help from a psychologist.

The other thing that really bothers me, and I'm sure I'll get jumped on for this, is why these kids try drugs in the first place. We've all heard the horror stories. We've all been educated about the fact that these are addictive substances. Why even put yourself in the situation where you might wind up with an addiction? It just seems stupid to me.

Obviously she is an addict who needs her thoughts and prayers. I feel bad that she has never had someone to teach her what is wrong and what is right.

LL is not different from any other young person partying, the only diffrence is the celebrity factor. Which in turn exxagerates the situation, all the money and perks that come with celebrity doesn't help. She's out of control and will hopefully learn to take care of herself since her screwed up parents have no clue on how to help their child except for selling her off.

I have a soft spot for her, I don't know why but there is something sweet and charming about her. This last stunt was too much, hopefully enough to sober her up, get a new set of parents Lindsay and grow up!!!

She is a young girl doing what young girls do best. I went through the rebellion stage when I was her age and I would be lying if I said I didn’t make some of the same mistakes she has. She is growing up and she will learn from her mistake that is what growing up is all about. Give her a break she’s only 21.

How come she is in hiding yet she still won't go away. She is every where lately. I heard on the radio this morning that she is at the Betty Ford Clinic.

Absolutely. I bet she's at the Betty Ford clinic right now and getting her act together. She'll come out clean, sober, and like a whole new person. Then she'll sign some great movies and finally deliver a hit. Then she'll be nominated for an Oscar for her awesome acting abilities. All will be well again.

This is kind of a silly question isn't it? What do I need to trust Lindsay with? We aren't friends and since I live in Austin and she lives in LA it's unlikely that we will ever be friends. She also is not responsible for anything important in my life, so trusting in her is not necessary. She's irrelevant, no?

She is 21 years old. I am 21 years old.
I have made the same mistakes as her, yet everyone I know has given me another chance. Why not give her one?
Some people have to make a mistake a few times, maybe go to jail, maybe go to rehab 5 or 6 times, in the end it will be ok.

My father had MANY dui's and went to rehab probably 10 times before he changed. He is now a wonderful man, husband and father.

Lindsay will be ok, may take a few more mistakes, but she will be ok.

Think about Drew Barrymore!!!!Look at what she has done with her life. Both have/had less than stellar parents and Drew started at a much younger age(with the drugs and drinking) it took her about 12 years to get back to form but she did and so will Lindsay...

Who would have thought that Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie would ever seem more stable than LL and Britney Spears? That is the pathetic part!

it's funny, you know, because Drew Barrymore is always who I think of, too, when the issue of "can she clean up?" arises. I think that Lohan *looks* worse than Drew Barrymore, or Tatum O'Neal or "The Coreys" (Haim, Feldman) because back-in-the-day there wasn't this viral information culture (nor was there an internet, or cell phones that have video capabilities) so we just....didn't know when old-school starlets acted up. So, I'll throw this kid a bone and say i think she can pull it together, cuz there's really no proof that she's any worse than Barrymore was...

Her mom is a major part of the problem. She lies so much that no wonder it's rubbed off on Lindsay. Whether we trust her or not doens't really matter. Whether movie studios trust her is another matter.

I really think the only thing that most of these girls are addicted to is themselves. Just because you get caught driving while drinking does not make you an addict. I know what it is to be an addict and LL is not one from what I can see. She uses that as an excuse for her actions. I hate how Paris, Brit, and LL use the excuse 'iam an addict' I really don't think it is addiction but stupidity and thinking that because they are famous they can do anything and get away with it. I do not think any of them that go to rehab do it for the right reasons. Just a thought! I do not trust her because I never have because she does not affect my life other than I tell my daughter not to look at these girls as role models.
