Jennifer May Be Lighting Up Broadway

We obviously can never get enough of Jennifer spending time with adorable Violet, but we're still antsy to see her acting again. Lucky for us, we'll be getting our chance this fall. Besides her upcoming movie The Kingdom, Jen may be Broadway bound in October. The NY Post reports Garner and Kevin Kline are in talks for a revival of "Cyrano de Bergerac." Think of Steve Martin in Roxanne only this time on stage and with Kline wearing a fake nose and Jennifer as his love interest.

The project hasn't been confirmed yet, but this sounds like a fun way for Jen to shake things up a bit. Besides, think of how much fun it will be to see Jen and Violet playing in Central Park and finding NYC's finest farmers' markets like the one in Union Square.

I hope so. I would love to see Kevin Kline on stage again. I love him.

And if you haven't watched "Life as a house" DVD with Hayden Christensen and Kevin, then check it out. Sad But I love it, they are both wonderful actors.

I know that she was really into the NY theater scene before Alias...she was a Victor Garber fan before he became "Spy Daddy".

Yes, she got her start in musical theater. She was an understudy on Broadway before moving to LA.

I think that Cyrano de Bergerac is a play and not a musical. I guess that doesn't mean that there isn't a musical version out there, but the version I read was a straight play.

I think she'd be good at Broadway; provided that she doesn't fall under the Julia Roberts curse.

I know there was some spec out there that she might have a baby bump, if she's in talks for a project in October, I highly doubt she's preggers.

Good Point, Juju. I think you are right about it being a play.

I did see pictures of her dueting with Victor Garber for a charity show, and by the looks of it, if she was in a role that required singing, she could do it. Spy Daddy was beaming with pride when she was belting.

Oh, I thought it was a musical when I first the title. I think she'd be good in a musical better than a straight play.

Popsugar do you think we're all that dumb that we have to have a movie reference to who Cyrano is?

Sounds like a great project!! Knives - you're ava cracks me up too! And, she can sing. There was an episode in Alias where she was undercover as a cabaret singer and she actually did a pretty good job.

It's a play people, not a musical. If she takes it - then we'll know for sure (finally!) that she is not pregnant. She couldn't do it otherwise. At least she'll be invisible in NY with Violet - we don't have the pap's here like they do in LA.

That looks like an older picture of them, in my opinion. And I think this is great - something different for her!

I think this would be wonderful for her. Maybe there won't be as many paps following their every move. They might finally get a break! I would also love to see them playing in Central Park and around town. I'll constantly be on the lookout!

Slashyelizabeth, I loved In & Out! Laughing out loud

And actually, Jen Garner has a decent voice...she sang a short song on one episode of "Alias" once. It wasn't bad. Smiling
