Nite ladies...it's 11:30pm here and my hubby's falling asleep on the canapé waiting for me! (that's chesterfield for the Canadians and couch for the Americans and sofa for the British). Eye-wink

    Á demain!!

    Night Mme Hart!
kid.....yeah, I know. That kid will be teased. Some of these parents don't think names through at all. Maybe she will luck out and they will call her by her middle name.

I kind of like the name, although it sounds too old for a baby. I guess she'll grow into it eventually.

Ramona Sarsgaard. I'm guessing there won't be much confusion with other people who have a similar name.

I read "Ramona the Pest" when I was little and begged my ma and da to rename me Ramona. They didn't. Damn them.

Pad, I remember reading those books as a kid too. One time my sis came home from a haircut. It was short with bangs, much like Ramona Quimbys. So I said in a snide voice, Hellllo Ramona! I got in major trouble for teasing my sis because it turned out she was sad about her hair and hated it. We laugh about it to this day.

dude..Ramona is cool...for those who grew up in the 80's ...Ramona was the sh*t. Beverly Cleary and Judy Blume books were awesome. i don't even like these two but i give them mad props for not naming their kid ella or eva or Pomegranate

i like ramona better than some of the other names out there (think apple, suri, moxie crime fighter). not one i'd pick, but not one that makes me wonder what the parents were thinking.

I used to love the Ramona Quimby books! LOVED them! Every kid from the 80's knows what a "Ramona" hairstyle is.

Ramona isn't a bad name, it's just really old fashioned. It's like naming your kid Henrietta, or Gertrude or Ernestine. But like has already been said, it's a lot better than some of the other celeb names out there.

I loved the Ramona Quimby books! How about the Judy Blume books? Are You There God? It's Me Margaret and the like.

Not sure about naming a child Ramona, but congrats to them. Smiling

Exactly, Jenna! LOL I loved Amelia Bedelia! She was soo funny.
Judy Blume books are the best. My daughter, who is almost 12, has started reading them, and she enjoys them as much as I did. I think it's cool that Judy Blume books still feel "modern", and that girls can still relate to them.

I'm so happy for her, she's really impressed me lately. I don't mind the name Ramona, but I don't know if I'd want it for myself. Then again, I hated my own name for years.
