Star Wars fans are preparing for what's probably going to be the second biggest day this year for them — the release of the newest toys, gadgets, and apparel from the upcoming film Star Wars: The Force Awakens. But before the toys arrived in stores, fans were treated to a live unboxing event for 18 hours on a YouTube live stream. Several of the toys include revamped lightsabers, action figures, and from Hot Wheels, Mattel, and Nerf — a first for the franchise. Two of the most anticipated gadgets include a Millennium Falcon drone and the BB-8 droid, which works with an app on your phone.

Most notably, Disney is taking steps to include products that female fans will want and enjoy. Based on a private viewing I attended, this doesn't mean each toy is labeled for girls or painted entirely in pink — and that was key to the company. "We have realized that Star Wars is for everyone, so we have put a huge focus on broadening our appeal," said Paul Southern, senior vice president of licensing at Lucasfilm. "We feature the female characters predominantly."

Considering the Star Wars fanbase is extremely protective of how the franchise's characters are represented, each toy is meant to help people feel part of the story. "We want to make sure that the quality of everything we've done is a natural extension of that experience," said Southern. "One of our key properties in development was to reinforce the emotional connection."

Thankfully, fans won't have to wait till December to get their hands on these products. As part of an event called Force Friday, the merchandise can be bought starting at midnight on Sept. 4. Disney stores across the country are holding events and other big-box stores like Target are participating as well. For a full list of where to get your hands on any of these products, view this guide.

Take a look below at some of the collection that we were able to see at a private viewing. Not all prices are listed for each product, but expect to see those numbers in the next day.
