The Magic of Orphan Black Is Its Special Effects

Here's further proof that maybe Orphan Black should've been included in this year's Emmy nominations: the special effects. BBC America just released this video looking at how they make multiple clone scenes come together, plus a look at all the little visuals you didn't realize were special effects while watching the show. Think set backgrounds, that gross pencil scene, and even snow. Working with the actorly magic of Tatiana Maslany — who plays not just one or two women, but an entire Clone Club worth of characters in the show — is special effects house Intelligent Creatures.
