Fall TV Preview: Studio 60

Studio 60 is one of the most anticipated new series this fall. The best part is that it marks the return of writer Aaron Sorkin (West Wing) and the always loveable, Matthew Perry (Friends). You probably already know that it is based on the behind the scenes look at a late-night sketch comedy, like SNL. Judd Hirsch kicks off the episode with a breakdown on live tv about how his show and television in general has lost its soul. This breakdown sets up why Perry and his partner, geeky-cute Bradley Whitford, come in to save the day. I love shows about TV and this one has the clever writing of West Wing but from the entertainment point of view which is much more fun than politics. Amanda Peet is the new network president looking to shake things up. She is supposedly pregnant in real life so it will be interesting to see how that works into the script. We'll definitely be watching to see where this show goes. It's on tonight at 10/9c on NBC.

Amanda Peet is pregnant!? I love her. This looks good. I wonder if they'll have episodes on iTunes.

This show looks funny as hell, I've seen all kinds of commercials. Hope I'll be home to catch it. I already have to see what I am going to do about getting off of work an hour after Gilmore Girls is on every week! le sigh...

I like how they moved Bradley Whitford in the pic but didn't take care of the lighting. It looks like he's glowing with radiation or something.

I don't know what it is for me, but this show doesn't sound interesting. I'll try to give it a shot but I dunno. I love me some Matthew Perry though! He's the only reason I'll watch it.

I am looking forward to the show. I'm with Radarkitty though, Matthew Perry is the reason why I will give this show a chance.

Ooh someone will have to report on this afterwards cuz they certainly won't be showing this in France for the next 5 years! Did you all know that Desperate Housewives is the "new" show here?

I tivo'd it and finally watched it this morning. It was pretty good. I'm actually looking forward to seeing what happens next week. I don't know if I'll stay with it for sure, but I'll watch a couple of episodes before I give up on it.
