Paris Out of Jail, Reassigned to House Arrest

As you may have heard, Paris Hilton was let out of jail this morning and "reassigned" to LA's "community based alternatives to custody's electronic monitoring program." Meaning she has her ankle bracelet and will be under house arrest for the next 40 days. Click here to check out the official press release explaining the details of her reassignment. I would assume this means no leaving under any circumstances, but considering how this punishment has gone so far, who knows!

Thanks sooooo much to SNN for uploading this video (and hilariously calling Paris "grounded")!

Five days already! Because showing up at 11:30 pm Sunday night counts as one day, and two hours of this morning is another day. No wonder kids are failing math.

Oh come on? She has the biggest house in the world with people to wait on her hand and foot 24/7. That is not justice!

Am I the only one hoping she violates the terms of her house arrest and gets thrown back in the clink, ASAP?

Since she's technically under arrest and under supervision of the probation dept, are they going to be checking for drug and alcohol consumption? Some of the bracelets can sensor alcohol use. She's pretty dumb, so I'm sure it will be a challenge to not violate her terms for 40 days. I don't think she can even count to 40.

If they were going to give her house arrest, they should have done that from the start. With this, the "justice" system just made itself look more lame than it already seems.

Hey, I've got an idea....how about everyone stop talking about this useless waste of space? I was mad she was let out but, if you go to CNN you'll see the top story is that of an 18 year old girl who was abducted from a Target and murdered in my city over the weekend. That's why I hate people like the Hiltons, Nicole Richie, Lohan, etc; they don't matter and the media keeps shoving them down our throats despite the fact that other much more important things are going on in our neighborhoods, cities, country and world. We might care if a talented actor or musician was going through what Paris went through, but she is complete and total trash, entitled and narcissistic. Only recently have we been forced to read about people who do nothing for a living, even royals in Europe must be philanthropists. How long until Paris' next house party? Probably not long. Let me know when something happens to someone interesting like Angelina Jolie. Heck, even Britney was a good performer. Paris is just a porn star.

Don't you think you guys should be more mad at the people who let her out? Most of you have no respect for her, and have very low standards for her. Yet you are blaiming her, for being let out. I am sure most of you expected that she would try to do something to get it, so why are you all hating her for it? You didn't have your standards any higher for her. The police or the legal whoever's let her out, be mad at them.
I am off to lunch. Wave

BOO!!! I am not surprised, but sickened just the same. There are many prisoners with real health issues that can't even recieve medical treatment while in jail/prison. She refuses to eat and cries a lot so she is allowed to go home to her 4,000 sq. foot pad. Perhaps some of the other inmates should try this tactic and see what the results are. BOO!!

I was almost feeling bad for her...jail is a terrible place for anyone. But now we can all go back to thinking that she is the spoiled rich girl that she is. So much for her new, more responsible image.

    I agree superfuzzykoala.
I hope Kelsey's family is given all the support they need in your community. Im glad an arrest has already been made.

As for Paris, I usually visit the gossip websites because work is so stressful... but today, if I see Paris one more time.. Im actually going to find more work to do!!!

    Good.
As much as I don't like her and the things that she does, 23 days in solitary confinement (10x10 cell with 1 hour out a day) is RIDICULOUS for driving on a suspended license.
They were trying to make an example out of her. That is NOT a common sentence for driving on a suspended license.
I don't think most people comprehend how much being in a 10x10 cell that long would mess a person up in the head.
Also, due to who she is, she was forced to be in a cell that is usually only used to punish inmates who are not following the rules. The cells are designed to make whoever is in it miserable so that they will want to behave and go back with the general population. People (and if they did something deserving it would be their own fault) go crazy from being in those cells.
That is not fair to do that to her because of who she is.
    Seriously, think about it.
If it were someone you know (not Paris, not someone you hate) would you and any one in their right mind want them to be locked in solitary confinement for driving on a suspended license? Not hardly.
We need to try to understand that now matter how much we hate her, that doesn't make it right to torture her.
The way people are acting about this remind me of the hanging of witches during the Salem with trials.
We as a society shouldn't stand by and enjoy someone's mental well-being being jeopardized just make an example.
That isn't what the United States is about.

Also, I'm not an overly understanding person, I just think that this has been taken way too far and it's time to think with our brains instead of our hatred towards Paris Hilton.

Would you think it was fair if it was your child?

yeah ok so i guess if i went to jail for that and i got sick while in jail, i HIGHLY doubt that i would be allowed to go home and finish my business!!! it's not a vacation she went on...she went to JAIL...she needs to take responsibility for her actions and she's not!!! that is so unfair. just not right. and people are going to be even more MEAN to her because of it!!! i could see like doing 2 weeks, then letting her out to finish the 23 or 40 days with house arrest. but COME ON!!!!!!!!!
