Aw, I do feel kind of bad for her. I had my digital camera stolen recently...it had great pics of me and my guy...and I would do anything to get it back. Still, I never understood why stars travel with so much valuable jewelry. My good jewelry rarely sees the light of day...I keep it stashed in a jewelry box high up in my closet.

OMG. Every time she has any kind of problem, she finds a way to work asthma into the conversation. "Oh, but I have asthma!!" She's out all night partying and is late to work the next day, "Well, I have asthma." She gets her bag stolen and needs it returned ASAP, "because of my asthma!" As if she couldn't just walk into a pharmacy and get a refill. And yeah, like you guys pointed out, the idiot continues to smoke. Sounds like a special kind of selective asthma to me. What a tool.

First of all you know the bag could have been worth like $15,000.00 or a couple of thousand at least! I heard on tv the bag had 7 million in jewelry inside!!!!! I think I read that it's an orange bag. You'd think a big orange Birkin would stand out if someone snagged it. Maybe she was just racing through the airport and it tumbled off the back without her noticing.

Usually when big-time jewelers loan out million dollars of jewelry, like for award shows, they have a lot of their security around. The insurance company usually requires that. So it's kind of odd if it's borrowed from a jeweler and they just hand it to her to carry around. Maybe it's borrowed from a friend.

If I had a million dollars worth of jewelry, I wouldn't be carrying it around in a purse! lol

I don't travel with much jewelery at all, but when I do have a few bits and bobs, I've always been told to carry it with me, just in case my luggage gets lost or anything. But if I had $1 mil worth with me, I'd have someone making sure I'm either carrying the bag continuously, or its never out of sight.

That said, I had my bag stolen once. I was shoe shopping and didn't notice it had just been plucked off the seat beside me. I usually don't carry much cash on me, but that time I had just gone to claim medical stuff from insurance sand so had a few hundred. *sigh*

Plus that bag was bought overseas and had the word BOOKISH on it, and since I love reading it summed me up so I was gutted to lose it. *bigger sigh*
