I saw Howie Day in concert a couple years ago when he came to my college. He was drunk. He told a couple stories that didn't make sense. He started the show playing Ashlee Simpson's "Pieces of Me". He never screwed up his own songs though-- he's a professional drunk.
He's also very short.

Anyway, I went to a school in WIsconsin and was friends with a girl who worked for campus activities. There was a rumor going around in the regional organization that Howie Day raped a college girl after one of his shows which is part of why he stopped doing some college circuits. Not sure if it's true, but let's hope it's not. Either way, she should stay away. She needs a non-mediocre musician, not saying that Howie isn't great, but he's not half as big as her.

Howie was probably in rehab for anger management. Rumor has it he's not the nicest guy. He once threw beer cans and a cell phone at some fans on his tour bus. Weirdo.
