Nic Cage Makes His Next Move

Nic stopped by Letterman last night to promote his new film Next that opens today. In the movie he stars as a man who can see two minutes into the future. As a result he's relentlessly pursued by the FBI, which wants to use him to stop a terrorist threat. The action thriller also stars Jessica Biel as his love interest. Unfortunately for him (and Jessica), the film isn't getting very good reviews. To check out BuzzSugar's take on the film click here.

eh...who cares if the film has bad reviews. It's Nic Cage!! I love him- I could care less what film he is in I will see it. I have even forgiven him for naming his baby Kal-el. Pity.

Is anyone else grossed out that Jessica Biel is his love interest? Aren't there about 30 years between them?

Well the age difference between him and his wife is 21 years and Tom and Katie as well as a lot of other famous couples is also somewhere around that mark.
Nways I love Nic he is one of my favourite actors. I loved him in the Rock and I still love him now. I am watching Next on Sunday.
And is it just me or do critics or always pan the hit movies and love the flops.

Why is it, in almost every movie he does his love interest is someone who is almost 20 years younger than him? ... and I hate his jacket.

Yeah, I don't think the age thing is creepy. Age is just a number, IMO, assuming both members of the couple are legally consenting adults.

Except Woody Allen, but that's not the age thing that makes that marriage creepier than Anthony Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs.

Dude, that blazer reminds me of a beat up couch for some reason.

I have nothing against a big age difference as long as both people have reached a certain level of maturity.
MOST (not all) 19 year olds are nowhere near the emotional maturity of a 40 year old man, unless that man is extremely immature.
This is also one of the reasons I think Marilyn Manson with Evan Rachel Wood is creepy as hell. I think a relationship like that makes it far too easy for the older person to mold the younger one into whatever they want.

I actually prefer movies that critics pan. It keeps my expectations low, so I find that I actually enjoy what's on the screen in front of me, instead of waiting for that moment that will "change my life".

And man, is he an incredible actor or what? I was a child when "Raising Arizona" came out and I've loved his acting since then. I really like his looks- he's very unconventional looking. Don't know if I'll shell out money to see this one, but I'll probably find myself in line for "National Treasure 2".

Someone mentioned his ego (and I'm far too lazy to scroll back)-- I think if I was born with the last name Coppola, I'd be pretty sure of my place in life too! lol

LOL at Greggie Smiling! I have been thoroughly disappointed in the roles this man has chosen the last several years. I was not interested AT ALL in that ghostrider film, and this NEXT looks just as lame/more lame. Yes, back in the day, I loved Leaving Las Vegas, and a few others, but now- lame. JMO of course!
