Naomi Watts Bumps Up the Volume

Naomi Watts and a friend took baby Alexander out for a walk in Brentwood before shopping at The Right Start in Santa Monica yesterday. Naomi may be an older mother, but she's staying active and fit as her baby bump continues to grow. Alexander is also getting so big and graduating to a cool new high chair — which will probably make for a nice hand-me-down once the newest family addition arrives.

it cracks me up that you say she's an older mother but oh well. i think that it's great that she's expanding her family even if she did wait a bit to do it. i can't wait to see more little ones for this brood!

You would never know she's an older mother; I think she looks younger than I do, and I'm 32! Her outfit in the picture on the left is way cute.

Well, having a baby in your 40s does actually qualify as being an older mother. The optimum time to conceive is actually 18 to 25, so yea, 40 is at the later end of that spectrum.
I miss Liev. Where the heck is he?

    Naomi and her "friend"??
Um, is that a new slang/aka for Nanny?
LucyS Smiling Just an FYI.. I had my daughter at 42, I'm 44 now. I can't tell you how much fun we have together. How much more I know than most 18-25 yr olds. I may get a little tired at times, a little...but I bet my baby appreciates a Mom who is at home 6.5 nights out of the week because my club days weres o over 4 yrs ago. Nothing like being single and free in NYC in your 30's. I can't imagine not having those crazy nights in my 30's! Additionally, in case anyone out there is as old as me Smiling, I didn't have one sick day throughout my pregnancy, not one headache, nothing.... My B was surprise, but what great surprise she was.

Your 40's is definitely not an ideal time to bear children. Naomi must be genetically blessed anyway, what with having two children in her 40's and looking about 10 years younger doing it!

Congrats jaxmom10! That's so awesome that you had your daughter at 42 and that you're enjoying her so much. I'm a delivery room nurse and I also work in a fertility clinic so I know how difficult it is for some women to conceive in their 30s and 40s. And by the way, in no way am I suggesting that 40 is OLD. It's just when you're immersed in the whole fertility/conception field like I am being 40 is considered "older", lol.

JAXMOM10 - No it isn't her nanny, but her best friend and actress Rebecca Rigg. She is also the wife of Simon Baker.
