I'm not a fan of his per se. but it seems fine. Like a teenage song that they would love.

I think he is such a lil cutie (probably cuz he looks like a mini version of my hubby, lol) and such a great singer. I never watch idol, but i'm happy for him. HeidiMD, I've heard other people call him creepy too and I totally don't understand it. Why do you think he's creepy?

Simon Cowell said that he declined to be on the British version of American Idol because he didn't want to show to the public the process of manufacturing a band/singer. Yet, history abundantly shows how carefully they craft and shape a celebrity's image to the public. You may not like David Archuleta, but he's not your fake, manufactured, out of touch, fame driven singer.
People who have met him in person and seen him in concert were blown away by him and by how his voice sounds live, and have left hundreds of comments on how genuine, humble, kind and down to earth he is. He doesn't try to be someone he's not just to impress people.
He has an international following and fans of all ages and gender ( Youtube clips).
Whether you like his music or not, he does not need to have his voice processed to sound great. Having been married to a musician w/ a P.H. D who played in symphonies in Europe, I know talent when I see it. I am 46, not a teen and like a variety of genres from jazz, bossa nova to R&B and tango and from L. Armstrong, Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers, Sade, Mariah Carey, Earth Wind & Fire, Marvin Gaye to Santana, Stevie Wonder and Archuleta. He has a gorgeous smile and for once I'm glad to support the career of a young artist that is not gonna blow his money on drugs, girls and lawyers (lawsuits and DUIs)

Awww, I hate AI, but I kinda got into the last season because I think this kid is incredible. lakebaikal is right - Archuleta is not a manufactured artist straight from the pretty factory - he is the real deal. I was a little surprised he didn't win, there were a lot of people on my college campus who were huge fans of him.

As for the video, it's a little bland, but nice none the less. I like the song a lot so I think I'll stick to just listening to the track instead of watching the video.

Like the song, love David. The music video is a refreshing change, and the shots of him at the piano on the dock are gorgeous. Very fitting for a young and talented musician.

I met David twice at Idol concerts. Mind you, I've never bothered to attend an Idol concert before this year, but it was the kid who compelled me to buy the tickets and make the effort.

He is entirely personable. He looks you in the eye, speaks kindly, signs autographs and takes pictures. I'm about the age of his mother, and I was in line behind a couple of cute teen girls at the meet and greet. I didn't get the sense from David that he'd prefer any type of fan over the other. He understands that it's all about the music.

He won't win every person as a fan, but he'll win more and more fans. He's also quite gorgeous in person. Beautiful eyes. Great skin and hair. He'll only get better.

The piano by the water… the soft light… and the smile at the end is way better than a kissing scene! The producer managed to show so many sides of him. I love his expressions and the feeling he puts into the song… He plays the piano, the guitar, he can actually act… or just stay there just being archadorable… and… oh, the vocals that melt anyone´s heart!

OK, here goes. I am so excited about David's first single and his first music video. David is the sweetest, most humble and hardest-working teenager I've ever come across. Not to mention a voice and maturity that blows you away. He really is a prodigy, while being a normal, awkward teenager at the same time. "Crush" was meant to appeal more to his age group so that others beyond AI would discover him. Later songs/albums will concentrate more on who "he" is as a musician. I really like this song, and I'm not a teenager! And the video?? I can't get enough of it! It totally captures who David is. I love the scenery, his smile, the way he looks at her at the end...Sorry, but how could anyone not love this kid after seeing the video?? Don't forget to request Crush from all your local stations!! The world needs to hear and see who David Archuleta is.

I love Archuleta - I love his singing, the way he connects with the audience, the way he appreciates his fans, and the person that he is. He is caring, hardworking, honest, and humble. Archie's always himself and he's charming. And I think he's a really good looking young guy too. In person you can really see how he glows. He's full of charisma and a big chick magnet too. He's cute offstage, hot when he sings, he loves his fans, and his fans love him. I think it video is sweet and pretty good for a first video that was shot in 1 day on a day off in the tour, with people he's never met before. It's a nice family-safe video that anyone can enjoy. I love his eyes in the closeups. And I love the tune.
