One week before next weekend's Primetime Emmy Awards lots of stars of the small screen came out in LA on Saturday for the presentation of the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The show airs Saturday and was hosted by two of my favorites, Sarah Chalke and Neil Patrick Harris, who kept the laughs coming. As expected, Mad Men and John Adams both took home multiple statues — check out all the winners here. Kathy Griffin kept things raunchy when she won again while Sarah Silverman's acceptance speech for "I'm F*cking Matt Damon" was uncharacteristically touching. She said, "Let's be honest, Matt Damon had very little to do with this being popular. . . Thanks to the person for whom this whole video was made: Jimmy Kimmel, who broke my heart – who'll always have a place in my heart." She deserves the award for her hilarious video and hopefully it's more than just a reminder of her rough split.

To see over 100 more photos from the event including Cat Deeley, Ashley Tisdale, Chloe Sevigny, Jenna Fischer, Seth Green, Tom Hanks, Lee Pace and many, many others just read more

Does anyone else find it awkward that she would bring up her break-up during a brief acceptance speech?

Sarah Silverman is just about the most unfunny comedian ever so no, I dont find it awkward at all, Heidi. lol

Yay for Kathy Griffin! She was a riot in concert and her show makes me laugh out loud. She almost looks attractive here also. Weird.

I hope that now that she has this completely undeserved award, we will never hear from Sarah Silverman again. She's not funny, she's just crass and has no class. (I mean really, calling out your ex boyfriend in your acceptance speech? Tacky.)

I LOVE Kathy Griffin! I'm glad she's finally getting the recognition she deserves!

Congrats to Kathy & Sarah! I love both of them, but I'd much rather see Kathy Griffin live in concert. She's hilarious!

i think that the academy is getting it right these days. there are certainly a lot of shows/ppl that should win, but i feel like this list this year is ok - and that the right folks are taking home awards!
