Brian, I think LC endorsed Mark cosmetics for AVON and recently saw her in a phone commercial with Brody. I can't remember which phone company, so i'm sure she's getting a couple hundreds of thousands aside from MTV.

I do think they are acting in this show (they are probably given prompts and situations to work with)... but not anything that demands talent that's worth THAT much money. I don't think they should be getting payed that much for doing The Hills, although it's nice that they're at least trying to find actual jobs that produce things for people (clothing lines, etc). I mean, this show doesn't really have much of a purpose or meaning besides being something to gossip about.

I'm a teacher (a pretty darn good one, too!), with a Masters Degree, and LC, Heidi and Spencer all make more in ONE episode than I do in an ENTIRE YEAR.

Yes, it's definitely sad to know that "celebrities" make more money than people who risk their lives everyday for society's sake (police officers, armed forces, etc.). People who save lives and shape lives (doctors, teachers, etc.) do not earn anywhere near that kind of money! Unfortunate, but hey, they won't be able to take any of that with them when they leave this world.

LoveSvelt...who else would you suggest keep the money? I don't agree that anyone in entertainment should make that much more than the general population, but they do and I would rather see the money spread to the cast than be soaked up by MTV.

yes - i do think that it's a joke. first off - audrina should be really upset about it - cause she's been on the show for ages and still makes only 1/2 of what LC makes. i think that it's kind of crazy that they are paid so much for a 'reality' show - but i guess since it's not 100% reality TV - they can do it right?

Ugh, I cannot believe that Heidi and Spencer are paid that much! I skip their parts of the show! I can't stand them so I try to ignore them (although I did catch bits of their exchange with her sister last week and I must say that he is one of the worst people ever.)And NO, no one should be paid that much to be living their life on television.
