Keri's Got Her Snuggly Little River Shopping Buddy

River Deary wasn't showing off his new walking skills this time. Instead he snuggled up to his hat-protected mom Keri Russell for a trip to the grocery store in NYC yesterday. Sadly no handsome Shane this time around, but their baby boy is already taking after his daddy in the looks department. Blondie River hasn't quite grown out of his baby carrier just yet, but hopefully we can see the little guy stretching those legs and enjoying the Summer more soon.

Those baby carriers are the best! My son is nearly two and over thirty pounds and he still fits in his Urgo very comfortably. I use it on my back though. She must have a very strong back to still be using it on the front.

seriously, hold your kid or put them in the cart. My friends daughter is so psyched about riding in the shopping carts and she loves not having to hold her ALL day!

I love me some Keri though

I have an ergo carrier for my almost three year old 27lb son. He likes to stand in the cart so the carrier is very nice to have and my son loves it. He;s autistic so this is a plus for us.

I'm all for a carrier but you can TURN the baby to face forward as soon as he/she can hold up his head! Keri!! Turn that kid around! Let him look at the world around him! Insert eye roll here.

The Ergo carrier is the best out there for older babies/toddler. The best by far! Lots of toddlers enjoy being carried in it and it keeps them calm.

I think people underestimate how scary it is to be followed by strangers with cameras all day. You think the pap don't talk to the moms and the KIDS? They sure do. Their #1 objective is to get a great (ie. controversial) photo so they say all kinds of ridiculous/mean/even dirty things.

I work in LA and have seen the descent of paparazzi first hand. A friend of mine from the Inland Empire almost wet her pants she was so scared! They're that aggressive. That's also probably why celeb kids usually have bottle longer, hold their dolls and blankets for dear life, and are held in public even after they're quite big. It's scary.

I don't see a problem with her still carrying him like that. The kid just turned 1! Plus we have seen that she does let him walk so... Now if he's 3 or 4 and she's still carrying him around like that, then I'll have some backseat parenting to do!

No, you cannot turn the kid around with this type of carrier. (Unike a bjorn)
(There is a warning printed inside specifying that info) You can wear it two ways besides how she is; back and hip. The carrier is good for up to 40 pounds, and if her kid is 1 year, i don't know why people are being so negative about it! I love this carrier, as it does not let your back get sore even after a very long time (totally differs from a bjorn in that way) and having the baby close while you're doing stuff, thus giving him the closeness that he wants, can be useful because often when you take him out he is ready to play on his own =) And i would NOT put him in the cart if I was shopping alone, as I would need to concentrate on shopping but would not want to take my eyes off him while he was in the cart.

Keri has that beautiful naturally curly hair and it looks like River's is stick straight.

I'm all for protecting your face from the sun, but couldn't she have chosen a different hat? It just looks like if she's trying to not be noticed by the paps, she shouln't wear a gigantic floppy hat. LOL.

She looks amazing! ¿Does anyone know if she has cutted her hair? It seems shorter, no?
