The entertainment press is already fighting with each other over who got the story right. Bauer’s In Touch, which has devoted what seems like every other cover to another Brangelina headline, is claiming the exclusive, being the first to report the news accurately ahead of any other news outlet. That In Touch’s website first reported Jolie gave birth to “twin girls,” then recanted that part of the story, might be of material interest to on-lookers. The magazine, however, will point out that six months ago it reported Jolie was pregnant with both a boy and a girl. (Previously, Star and OK! had reported Jolie was carrying two girls.)

After In Touch posted its report online, Us Weekly quickly “me too’d” with a “confirmation” that Jolie had given birth with its own website article. Then Extra, which had also posted online with the news, recanted its report, leading Us to also pull its story.

It wasn’t long before People posted the “exclusive” news on its website, though its source was Jolie’s doc, Michael Sussmann, who released a statement to the press at large, not just People. So its “exclusive” news wasn’t so much exclusive as it was simply stamped that way.

But once People pushed the story, the other hangers on followed suit; Us and Extra had their stories back online thereafter.

I think it a little weird the mayor of Nice is doing that but yeah the man is happy to have those babies born in his city. LOL. I am just wowed by emotions Brad and Angelina bring out in people, my self included. Congrats to them again on their twins. Love hearing how they were together in the delivery room and how emotional Brad was. So sweet.

i think that they are all just very excited - the family the mayor everyone - so that's why they seem tobe going a bit overboard. i think that it's wonderful that she's had the babies and that everyone's doing well. i had always thought that it was 2 girls that she was having - and i think that brad must be over the moon to have a little version of him now. right?

I am so happy for the family and Im glad that everything is alright HOWEVER all of this is TMI!

We didnt have to see the birth certif to believe that the children were infact born. Dont need the details of the birth either. I dunno, I believe things like that should be private.

I understand their need to put out some information quickly at times due to the fact that there are some creeps out there that will stop at nothing to get it but this is a little scary.

In any case I love this fam, congrats again.

Yay! I was really excited to read this news for some reason and I can't wait to see those grow up. I'm sure they will be stunners like little Shiloh. Knox is really cool name, kind of futuristic. I've never heard it before as a name, but I think it works! Vivienne is a pretty, old-fashioned name. Congrats to the power couple!

I still don't get how their baby pictures are going to worth like 10 million or more. I mean I don't care what their babies look like. All babies look pretty much the same. I imagine they'll look something like Shiloh. I wouldn't buy a magazine with pictures of them in it. Like how do these magazines make money when they have to pay so much for the pictures??

WTF??? Guess HIPAA does not exist in that country. Think they are giving way too much information to the press. That should be totally up to the parents to share or not.

this is just way too absurd - a press conference to show of the birth certificates? Seriously. They are just babies. And the fact that they are bidding those pictures up to double digit millions - yes the money goes to charity - but in reality they are just selling their kids.

what brangelina fail to realize is we know WAY too much about their lives, their kids' lives and a lot of people are just fed up. talk about oversaturation! they don't understand how to keep things private that should be private like the details of this birth.

look at someone like christian bale or even matt damon. they have both said that saying too much about their private lives kills the mystery and the best actors and actresses were always mum about their home lives...

this is TMI ! my god, it's getting to be nauseating. anyone who is this interested in the details of strangers' personal lives needs to invest in a little bit of talk therapy, seriously. also, having lived there for several years in my teens/early 20's, i can assure you that the citizens of Nice are much too aloof and classy to be gushing over middle aged american celebrities. i guarantee you there was a lot of cringing going on when the news of the mayor acting like a toady hit the news.
