Celebrities Help Celebrate the Lakers

The Lakers defeated the Spurs in LA last night, and there was plenty of star power in the seats to cheer them on. Cameron Diaz proved she's just one of the guys, having a courtside Shrek reunion with Jeffrey Katzenberg and Antonio Banderas as well as hugging it out with Diddy. Adam Sandler, Tobey Maguire, and Denzel Washington were also in the house to join in on the fun, but it must have been a bit of a disappointing night for Eva Longoria and Tony Parker. Now that the Lakers are advancing to the final round, it means we get at least another week of celebrity stadium sightings.

To see a lot more celebrities playing cheerleaders, including Dr. Dre, Lionel Richie, and everyone above, just read more.

That was a great game...17 points behind and then they came back and WIN the game. Tsk Tsk. Lakers is HOT right now and Celtics (sorry Piston fans--I love Pistons too but I think Celtics should be in the final LOL) will have their work cut out for them in the Championship.

Sadly I think the Celtics have no chance against the Lakers but I'd rather have them than Detriot in the finals.

Yay! Hell yeah! We are going to win the championship! Lakers vs Boston in the finals and lakers will win in 6 games!!

And that was an exciting game but also disappointing. I expected the lakers to come out very aggressive to make a statement to the world. But they came out so weak and none of them looked like they wanted to be there. But in the end, the better team won. I knew they would wake up eventually and knew they would win.

    Kobe MVP!
    Lakers 07-08 champions!

    LOVE THE LAKERS!!!

So excited to see the Lakers back in the finals, I have been a fan my whole life! I too think the Celtics have NO chance. They got taken to 7 games by the Atlanta Hawks & the Cleveland Caveliers, neither of who are even in the same league as the Lakers...sorry Celtics fans...if you manage to beat the Pistons...you ain't beating the LakeShow.

pinkprinces1101, why do you hate the lakers?

There are so many laker haters and they have no reason to hate them. Are you just jealous because they are better than your team? What is there to hate? Your hate is irrational.

And hell no, Boston has NO chance at all. Boston could barely beat atlanta, how on earth are they going to beat the lakers? The Lakers would have swept atlanta.

Boston may have the "big three" but they DON'T have the Black Mamba (kobe bryant) and Phil Jackson (best coach ever). Also, lakers have the best bench in the NBA.

Lakers had the hardest matchup to make it to the finals and got through it all. They had to face denver in the FIRST round and SWEPT them (denver being much better than the hawks that the celtics needed 7 games to win), they beat Utah in 6 (Utah being MUCH better than cleveland who they needed 7 games to win), and san antonio in 5 (san antonio being the defending champions and better than a lazy detroit team who they may also need 7 games to beat).

    Go Lakers!

Fromana...the reason pink princess hates the Lakers is the same reason most people hate the Yankees...b/c they are (historically) better than everyone. The Lakers have won 14 championships and appeared in 28, second only to the Celtics, so most people are just jealous.

    Go Lake Show!!!

pinkprincess1101, do not even DARE talk about basketball if you're going to be speaking negatively about Kobe Bryant. NO real basketball lover and expert would bash Kobe Bryant because he is the best player in the league. If you think otherwise, you don't know anything about basketball. You're just mad because the Black Mamba will pull your team apart in the finals.

Kobe is the real MVP, get used it.

I find it hilarious when people start talking nonsense about players and think they are right. Oh please! Are you a basketball expert? So I guess you have more knowledge than all the experts who voted him for MVP, right? And you also have more knowledge than all the NBA analysts who are former players themselves right? LMAO.

Fromana, don't waste your time trying to dissuade the Kobe haters. The MVP voting this year wasn't even close and Tim Duncan wasn't even in the conversation for MVP. Don't waste your time talking to the haters...just enjoy that the Lakers are the best in the west again!

why are the spurs the better team

the spurs are the better team lets see 4 championships in 9 years they have been in the playoffs for the past ten years, the lakers are cry babies that look to the refs for fouls, the spurs came to terms that they wont call fouls so they play the game the way its supposed to be played, thats why they have the success they do, bowen is the best defensive player in the league tim is the best power forward to ever play the game, do you need more because i can go on and on

pinkprincess, you obviously don't know anything about basketball so be quiet already.
You're just a jealous hater because no real basketball fan would hate another player or team for no reason like you.

And if the spurs are the better team, why did the lakers eliminate them in 5 games? lmao, you really are ridiculous.

Ummm...Pink Princess. The Spurs have Manu Ginoble & Bruce Bowen, 2 of the dirtiest players and biggest floppers in the game, so give me a break. Last nights game, both teams went to the line 18 times...I would say the officiating was pretty fair.

Great teams never whine about the refs...because they don't need to.

Plus, I wouldn't call the Spurs a better team when they blew a 20 point lead in game 1 & a 17 point lead in game 5.

Charles Barkley and Magic Johnson didn't jump on any bandwagon. Do you even listen to what they say?

Charles Barkley said that the lakers wouldn't make it far this, but he said that AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON! NOBODY expected the lakers to make it far this season, not even me and i'm a huge fan.
How on earth would anyone have known that the bench would improve so much, Andrew Bynum would turn into one of the best young centers in the league, and that they would get Pau Gasol?

Of course people started to change their mind about the lakers once they saw that they have improved. I changed my mind too.

And regardless of what anybody said about the Lakers, All the analysts (including Charles Barkley) have ALWAYS said that Kobe Bryant is the best player in the league so get over it you hater.

First of all, all teams whine for calls, including the precious Spurs. So I am cracking up that you are suggesting the Lakers are the only team that argues calls. If you think the officiating was so bad, how do you explain them taking the exact same amount of free throws last night? For fouls totals, the Spurs had 21 and the Lakers had 19. That is almost identical.

I wouldn't say new orleans was the best team in the west. The Lakers are better and they finished number one, the hornets finished 2nd.

Also, New Orleans was young and inexperienced. They had never made the playoffs before so I knew they wouldn't make it far.

Stop it already. You ARE a hater. You said you don't hate kobe yet you were bashing him earlier (scroll up and read your comments in you forgot).

Spurs are not better. How on earth did the lakers beat them in 5 games if the spurs are better?
If it would have been a 7 game series, maybe I would believe you but it was only 5 games meaning the lakers beat them pretty easily.

Once again, you are ridiculous and you HAVE no argument.

And everyone knows Bruce Bowen is the dirtiest player in the league.

Ginobili is a confirmed flopper, so is Parker, imho. But in the Lakers game, they didn't flop as much as I expected. Eh.

I want Celtics to be on the Final although when I talk to my darlin' fiancee, he thinks Detroits may be a better 'fit' to go against the Lakers (based on individual players).
I love Garnett and his intensity as a player, the most consistent one so far in the Celtics. But yeah, if the other big 2 don't show up (Allen and Pierce), it's not going to happen. And don't get me started on Rondo. Someone should take him out of the game by the 4th quarter where he always made the MOST unwise decision. ARGH.

I think Lakers are awesome, they did what they had to do, and they had lots of calls against them yesterday although they played at home, and they still won. Although I think it's due time for Garnett and co. I think if I'm a betting man, I'd put mine on the Lakers.
(P.S. Lakers lost both games against the Celtics during the season, but we don't know what's going to happen during the Post-season: since so far I've not been too impressed == although I'm rooting for == with the Celtics).

    Hope2be:

I think Lakers-Celtics would be cool to get that rivalry started back up again. I think your fiance is right though, Pistons would be a better match up, they are more experienced and have better role players. The one thing you can say about the post season is that the regular season goes out the window. The Lakers have had one of the more decisive playoff performances this year while the Celtics have struggled with below average teams, so you never know what is going to happen I guess.
