I was surprised to see them back together in the first place. SOmething didn't seem right. I think he needed more time after the suicide ordeal to jump into a romantic relationship.

I don't know, I think that Owens not ready to give up his partying ways. For some reason he is addicted to "loose" women and possibly drugs, and is not ready for the kind of work that a real relationship with Kate would require.

I think you hit the nail right on the head, Blue Tigerlily. And I agree that it IS kind of sad - for both of them. I hope it doesn't set off another downward spiral for Owen, especially when she starts dating again. He never seemed to fully recover from his August breakdown. It can't be easy for Kate to have to give up on him, but she has her own reputation to protect and his behavior was starting to make her look like a fool. I feel badly for both of them.
