Halle Berry Takes Her New Party of Three to the Green

Halle Berry showed off her smokin' post-pregnancy body over the weekend, but slipped into something a little more comfortable to host a Charity Golf Tournament in LA yesterday. She had the support of her hot man Gabriel and even newborn baby Nahla got some fresh air. In fact, Halle had to cut out of her party early to tend to the little one, saying, "I'm going to have to leave. My baby is calling for my breast. So, if I don't see everyone later, thank you!" We're all for new baby talk but that might have been a bit much.

Gabriel, being a daddy suits u!... then again anything suits this fine man. I guess Halle's just one of those overexcited moms- i'll cut her some slack with the TMI, since she's only been a mom for a couple of weeks.

I want to see that kid. A gorgeous mama and an equally stunning dad... I just wonder what that baby looks like.

It's called humor. I'm sure after you have a baby and a bunch of doctors constantly observing your vagina you could give a rat's ass whether anyone is offended by your comments about breast feeding. Two women I work with had babies a few months ago and we have created a breast pumping room for them in the lab so they can feed their babies and have privacy at the same time. Not even the guy's freak about it or scream how gross it is. It's a part of having a baby. Please come to terms with breast feeding and other "gross" things before some of you little girls go and decide to get pregnant.

    marybethrizalucy,

Your comment, which I agree with, reminds me of episode of an episode of Married with Children, when a pregnant women's coalition setup a breast-feeding strike inside the shoe store and Al went INSANE, LMAO...man, that show was GOLD!!!

I don't think the comment is that bad, when you are a new mom that is pretty much all you do all day and night. It becomes such a part of your routine that it seems normal to say something about it, why hide it.
I was never one of those women that could breastfeed while others were in the room, but I have no problem with another mom doing that.

@romaniagrl, I was the same way as well. When the nurses brought my son to me to nurse for the first time, I looked at them like they were crazy, becuase they were standing around. I am very modest, I was not pulling my breast out in front of complete strangers. I asked them to leave the room. They laughed and told me they had to wait to make sure my son would breast feed.

Also, there is a tendency of people who sell these shots to provide quotes and stretch things here and there. We don't always know exactly what was said and in what context.

Oh yeah, and these two look soo good!

Yes, speaking naturally about normal things that babies are supposed to do is too much and TMI. Someone can talk about their huge breasts - sexualize them - and it's fine, but to discuss their natural, normal biological purpose is gross, stomach turning, and too much information. Because it's fine for us to do what's the best and healthiest thing for us, our babies, and society at large, but not to talk about it or let anyone else see us.

    Good for Halle!!!!!

She's a new mom - cut her some slack. All new mom's go a littler overboard on discussing things like breastfeeding. It's all new experiences.

How is "the baby is calling for my breast" bragging?? It's explaining why she's leaving.

I couldn't care less if people think me saying "Sorry we have to run, the baby needs to nurse" is offensive and over the top. Deal with it. My baby eats.

New mothers can make jokes about breastfeeding. Plus, I’m sure people at the tournament were thinking that anyway. She just said it out loud.

i have to agree that maybe she could have phrased that better - but i think that it's great that she's getting out and about - and that she's supporting the baby's daddy. she looks good for just having her girl...she was a big preggo lady before.

LOL, you can sure tell the ones who have beast fed and the ones who haven't.

I was little nervous about other people knowing my first time, but when you do it numerous times a day for over a year, it becomes as NORMAL as walking or breathing. I got so good at it that I could push my daughter around in a shopping cart, breast feeding her while grocery shopping and no one knew a thing. Thanks to baby slings and baby blankets. It's a very normal and beautiful part of having a baby and being a mother. For someone to label it as "gross" is unbelievable and so immature.

did you know that the Canadian government recently banned the sale of plastic bottles because of the dangerous type of chemical in the plastic they are made of? did you know that the inside of baby formula cans have the same plastic though the government didn't ban them because the benefits of formula outweighs the risks? if you CHOOSE not to breastfeed because you are ashamed or don't want to 'brag' about it you are depriving and endangering your innocent child for ignorant and selfish reasons. i do feel sorry for anyone who can't breastfeed because of birth complications or a mastectomy though they wanted to, but if you choose formula for vanity or shame, thats really sad how little you care about your child. And you dare to insult people who go through the pain of breast feeding! (its messy and it hurts like hell for the first month or so)

Calling for the breast? Not exactly a tactful way of putting it. I am glad to see them out together and see that Halle isn't rail thin already. Enjoy the baby and work out when you get around to it.

My daughter's grandmother was so weird about me nursing at their house. SHe always wanted me to go in another room. But hey, the t.v. was in the main room so that's where I sat. When she kept her she would always have a reason to not to give her my prepumped milk. It ticked me off but I did not exclusively nurse so I was not as pissed..

Halle is gorgeous as usual. Gabriel yum yum...

Wow...I didn't know people were so prudish about breastfeeding. In Scandinavia you can see women breastfeeding everywhere, at cafés and at the park or just whenever your baby needs to be fed. Women have been breastfeeding for millions of years, since when did it become something negative??

Gialand - it's primarily in the US that people are so weird about breastfeeding. There are some states where it's still considered indecent to breastfeed in public. Which is really sad - but it all goes back to the introduction of baby formula. Somehow it was drilled into society's collective mind that the more sterile version of feeding babies is "better."

As far as Halle's comment, it sounds kinda jokey - but even if it isn't, it's just unfortunate phrasing.

Thanks for the information wingedklare, I had heard rumours about breast feeding not being that appropriate in the US but I thought it was more of an "old school" way of thinking and that people were a bit more enlightened in the modern society...I though her comment was very cute and very "new mom" like:)..

Maybe it's that I am 7 months pregnant and the thought of breastfeeding is as normal here as eating dinner:)
