Some of our favorite actresses from the big screen got dressed up for the theater in NY last night at the opening of The Country Girl on Broadway. The show stars Morgan Freeman, Frances McDormand and Peter Gallagher, who were all out afterwards to celebrate their big night with the likes of Julia Roberts and Amy Adams. Natalie Portman and Kirsten Dunst both looked perfectly content to be flying solo without their new — one rumored, one real — men. While the play itself is getting mixed reviews, it's hard to believe that there will be any trouble selling tickets while such an all star cast is up on stage.

My parents went to see this. They had so many technical problems in the first half that they left at intermission. Apparently something broke or fell over and intermission was going to be close to an hour.
