The photo is not flattering. Jessica is already a bit mannish in her features (strong chin and jaw etc.)so I don't think this concept is to her advantage.

oliveye , you're so right "originality is dead". i think i've said it before on another post but i think there are too many celeb mags out there so no wonder there are no new ideas floating around - they've all been used up.

What were they thinking? My husband takes that magazine which means I'll have to look at it for a while. If you look at Verna Lisi's eyes, she looks playful, but Jessica looks like she's having difficulty with the shaving part. Like she's thinking too hard. I bet Papa Joe paid a lot for the cover. There must have been someone else they could have used.

I agree with romes, Virna looks more like she's playing, but Jessica looks like she's trying to be sexy, which does not work at all. Not a very attractive cover.

Hideous! I despise Jessica but I think she has a really nice body, however, this is completely unflattering....her shoulders look HUGE

It might have worked better had they just re-created the photo exactly instead of going farther back, different angle, all that. I could not figure it out until someone posted the covers side by side, and my Daddy's old barber shop used to have the Virna cover framed on the wall. (Much to Mama's chagrin but that's another story.)

She really is a bit too mannish to pull it off, at least I think. I bet Scarlette Johanssen or someone with a bit more feminine face would have been a better match for this one.

not. The reason Marlyn could pull of a photo shoot like this is because she has very feminine features, so it was obvious that it was a woman. But jessica has very strong feature, so putting shaving cream on her, just makes her look like a drag queen. Not only that, but her head should not be tilted at that angle, because it only accentuates her strong jaw, and they should have cropped out her broad shoulders, the only woman who would have been worse for this concept would be Chyna.

I believe it would have benn a cute and good photo if it was at an angle like the older one and jessica seemed like she was joking around instead of looking like she really is trying to shave!!

I saw this a few days ago, and I HATED it, still do. Jessica actually looks like a man in this magazine. I thought it was a man when I first saw it. It's just...ugh!
